The Dracast LED500 Light Filter Frameallows the use of Dracast or other brand diffusion, CTO, CTB or effects filters with the fixture. Constructed of lightweight aluminum, the frame drops into the fixture's accessory channel. It has a frame lock to prevent filter slippage.

A: While this is a very bright LED panel, the brightness would depend on how far this panel is placed from the subject, how high or low the dimmer is set and which color temperature the panel is also set for.

Q: 3. What would be some average camera settings for LED500 daylight at 6 feet, with an ISO 400? I would think that at 3 feet, it would gain 2 F-stops?

A: I cannot answer that question directly, having no experience in actuatlly taking photographs with our lights, as opposed to just knowing how they work. However, I can tell you that at six feet, a daylight LED500 should be able to produce 1550 Lux, or 144 Fc. A: No , the stand is sold separately

A: Without yoke panel only.

Q: 6. Will this fit onto the genaray outfit 500 Bi-color LED?

A: No, that barn door does not fit the Genaray Outfit 5000 Bi-color LED.

Q: 7. Is this compatible with the Gel frame for this light?

A: The barn door has a slot built in for gels. I bought both the barn doors and the gel frame. Because of the barn door design, I will never need the gel frames.

Q: 8. What softbox or diffusion plate is recommended for this unit?

A: There are a few different softboxes that will work. The one I would recommend on the top is Dracast Softbox for LED500, B&H # DRSB500 MFR # SB-500.

Q: 9. Does this part include both sides of the circular sawtooth pieces that screw together on the sides of the light? Or just the outside half of that, as pictured in the photo of the mount with no light in it?

Q: 10. I recently purchased the Dracast LED500. I'm looking for a solution to diffuse the light and also protect the bulbs. The way that the light ships, it does not come with any glass or plastic over the bulbs. This product looks like what you would need to start with, but once this product is purchased, what's next? Where can I get drop in diffusion for it?

A: That light should ship with a clear LED board protector in it already. [0.6 lb] These are just as good as any barndoors you would see for any other light. But one drawback is that i have to take out the defusing plastic that comes with the light fixture itself, in order to attach the barn doors. Here is the problem with that, the diffusion plastic is just big enough that you can’t place it in the filter slot on the barn doors. So that leaves the LED’s exposed. When the LED’s are not diffused, the shadow from the barn doors is not sharp, but a gradient of shadow lines that are pretty obvious. If i buy a set of filters separately that fit these barn doors, I’ll be fine. But with the out of the box filter that you get with the light itself, its not compatible. That isn’t a knock on the barndoors, but more so the design of the actual light these are made for. 5

[0.6 lb] It was great for B&H to work with me while I was heading out of the country, confirming a cross country delivery near the international boarder while I was out of the country and to have the product waiting for me right after I crossed the boarder back into the United States. This was while being 2,500 miles away from home. Nice efficient way to do business and my production shoot went well due to B&H and the way they handled my delivery. 5

[Aluminum] Works perfect since it's built for it. Do NOT buy a bi color or a 3200 K LED 500.� Buy a daylight balanced one at 5600K and gel it to bring it to 3200 when you need it. 5
