[White] I received this a few days ago for viewing planets, particularly Saturn and Jupiter, though my Celestron C8 cassegrain. I have several 2-inch Tele Vue eyepices (up to 16 mm) as well as a 6.5mm and 9.0mm Baader Morpheus eyepieces for greater magnification. The Powermate used with the 20mm Nagler Type 2 and the 16mm Nagler Type 2 provided greater clarity and easier viewing than the Baader eyepieces. Views were sharp to the edge of the field. I was impressed. I'm thinking of replacing the Baaders with another shorter focal length Tele Vue with which to use with the Powermate for even greater clear, sharp magnifications on nights of good seeing. The Powermate is more expensive than a barlow, but the quality of magnification with really good eyepieces is worth the money. I'm not parting with this--ever!

[White] The Televue 2 2X Powermate is a well-built item, as expected for
Televue. Compared to a standard barlow, the Powermate delivers better off-axis correction, making it more suitable for imaging. For visual use, the Powermate pretty much disappears and the observer just enjoys the greater magnification.

[White] I needed a way to mount my GoPro camera off to the side of my kayak to give a different view when I'm fishing. The mount fits a GoPro perfectly on the camera end and all you need is handle or dowel of some sort to fit the other end. One quick trip to the Home Depot solved that problem, the dowel I found was just the right size. I painted and shellacked the dowel and fitted it to the camera mount and I was in business. Be aware that you'll need a RAM base or some other kind of base for the non-camera end. Tested it out in my sideyard, works good and will get it out on the lake soon. B&H is the fastest shipping I know of. Rate them and this product very highly.

[White] Such a great mount for all GoPro users. This mount will fit on any stick or pole, with or without threads. Great for an old broomstick or extension painters pole. The mount has nuts/bolts to tighten the base on to a pole that doesn't have threads. I use this mount for my kayak to get overhead shots when fishing. Very durable for saltwater, as most RAM products are. Lightweight and easy to adjust.

[White] I'm using 4x Powermate for astrophotography with an E0N 72mm. The first things that I noticed was the high quality of the optics and the manufacture of the barlow. It is important tho say that I had to use several extension tubes to reach the focus point.

[White] Works beautifully with my 115mm refractor + diagonal; am unable to obtain focus without diagonal. Top notch optics for both eyepiece observation and photo imaging with my DSLRs.

[White] Works great, beautifully made. it's Tele Vue.
Heavy, four elements. Great performance comes at a price in weight.
My Vixen SXD2 GEM is a bit too wobbly for my astro-photo set up.
The Powermate is excellent, but it contributes to my weight problem.

[White] I used the Tele Vue 2x Powermate to image the planets, as well as doing some visual observing. As usual, Tele Vue optics never disappoint!
