This 10-stop, 49mm Haida Greystone ND Filter 49mm 10-Stop Multicoatedfeatures an ultrathin, aircraft-grade aluminum filter ring, which helps prevent vignetting on wider lenses or when stacking multiple filters. This filter, also referred to as a 1000x ND, evenly reduces exposure by 10-stops making it suitable for still, movie, and video applications. For still photos, the 10-stop reduction allows you to take pictures with a long exposure time, which can help create ethereal looking landscapes that are both sharply in focus yet have a blurred effect on portions of the frame with moving subjects such as waves. With movie and video productions, the 10-stop reduction allows you to shoot with a wide-open aperture in extremely bright conditions and gain control over your depth of field.

A: These were designed to be used one at a time.

Q: 2. Will these work on the Sigma 14mm f/1.8 DG HSM Art Lens for Leica L? It says that they are for f/2.8 version.

A: This filter kit is only for the Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 lens for Sony E or Leica L. The Sigma 14mm f/1.8 has a specific holder such as the NiSi S5 150mm Filter Holder Kit with Landscape Circular Polarizer for Sigma 14mm Art Lens, B&H # NI150FHSI14, which can take 150mm filters that are 2mm thick. https://bhpho.to/3eQ4p43

A: Haida Rear Lens ND Filter Kit for Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG DN Art Lens E/L-Mount & Sigma 24mm f/1.4 DG DN Art Lens E-Mount is made to be installed on the lens not the camera though. A: The filter kit for Tamron 15-30mm comes with a mount that you attach to the rear of the lens. There is a video you can view on our site when you pull up the filter kit.

Q: 8. I see you have to specify Canon, how do you know if this fits Nikon? Is there a Nikon option?

A: You only have to specify Tamron SP 15-30mm, if that is the lens you need filters for, you do not have to specify if it is for Canon or Nikon.

Q: 9. According to Canon, it is not recommended to use filter in the lens rear filter slot at the widest zoom because the rear glass element will hit the filter. Does anyone have this experience?

A: Yes when using these filters with a lens such as the Canon 11-24 care must be taken not to set the lens onto the widest zoom setting.

Q: 10. Can sigma 14mm 24mm 2.8 filter use with sigma 14mm 1.4 and 60mm-600mm telephoto lens

[Glass] Very affordable 10 stop ND filter which produced minimal color cast and no light leakage. Attached picture taken on bright, sunny day in the snow yet allowed a 4 second exposure.

[49 mm] I did a lot of research before deciding on Haida's filter set. The Haida filters are top quality at a slightly affordable price. I would highly recommend the Haida filter to other users.

[Solid ND] Best bang for the buck. This is lighter than my Tiffen filter but works just as well to my eyes. I use this for shooting waterfalls and shooting videos when the Sun's out.

[Solid ND] Works well. Just remember that if you are focusing through the lens, do it before you put on the filter. Once the filter is attached there is nothing but black in the viewfinder.

[Glass] Great filter, I love it! And as usual B&H is fantastic.

[Glass] I have used many 10 stop ND's in the past and settled on a B&W but was never really thrilled with it. There was always something about the images that bugged me. I decided to test it , alone and then in front of a polarizer , each time I noticed a pretty noticeable drop in sharpness, especially fine detail smearing. Considering the cost of it this shouldn't be happening.
So I searched for a new one and found an intense review of 10 stop ND's and the Haida Nanopro MC ND 10 stop was part of it. It came out on top along side one other, but with the price of this filter it was a no brainer to buy and test out. I ordered it from B&H and tested it right away. Straight Image, Image with the ND, and Image with both the ND and a Nikon Circular polarizer behind the ND. NO difference in sharpness, ZERO. You wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the 3 , even at 100% zoom and beyond.
I tested it on Modern AI lenses, and Vintage Nikkor S and H lenses with single coatings all tested with the same result. No color cast either.
I went out with the Haida ND and the Nikon Polarizer and shot outside, long exposure with foliage and water. Same result. Sharp sharp sharp. All on a D810 in Bulb/Mirror up.
Haida has just won a customer for life.
