This UltraLITE Pro16 Long-Range Dual-Channel Full-Duplex Wireless Intercom System from Eartec includes fourteen UltraLITE Pro16 Headsets (one single-ear master and thirteen dual-ear remotes), fourteen rechargeable LiPo batteries, two ten-port chargers, and an extra-large soft-side case. It is designed to accommodate fourteen people who need to communicate wirelessly while simultaneously working with their hands. The Pro16 version of the UltraLITE line-up features a long 10-hour battery life and a 1/2-mile line-of-site operating range.

UltraLITE Pro16 all-in-one wireless headsets can link up to 16 users in full duplex without a base station or hub. Designed with a lightning-fast microprocessor that provides two channels of simultaneous hands-free communication, the Pro16 allows separate groups to speak privately. Connect your entire crew in a full-duplex conference with the simple touch of a button. The Pro16 talking pattern is easily modified in the field or expanded to accommodate your changing needs.

The Pro16 has been engineered with Active Frequency Hopping technology. This specialty wireless technique allows the headsets to monitor the surrounding environment and automatically switch channels whenever necessary to easily avoid interference. The operating range has been increased three-fold to over a 1/2 mile line of sight.

The UltraLITE headsets have the transceiver built right inside the earcup, eliminating headset wires and belt-worn radios. They provide two-way voice communication and the microphone arm can swivel 270°, allowing you to wear the mic on the left or right side. Raising the mic boom into the up position automatically mutes the microphone.

A fortified mic assembly featuring internal metal construction and stainless attachment hardware is now standard. The new deluxe ear pad is extra wide, soft, and weather resistant. New, large-capacity lithium-ion polymer batteries provide an impressive run time of up to 10 hours.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. is it use sound activate switch for switching between talk and received ?

A: Full duplex, no manual switching.

Q: 2. is this system expandable? If I want to buy 2 more headsets later, will they work with this?

A: Thank you for your question. You can expand this system with 2 more headsets buy purchasing 2 more remote units (B&H # EAULSR). You can use up to 5 without purchasing the eartec hub.

Q: 3. Can you get program audio into these?

A: No. You cant.

Q: 4. Can we buy a fist set of 2 and then add more later 1 or two for future use ?

A: Yes, in fact we recently purchased a set of three, and just ordered the fourth unit to add to the set.

Q: 5. Can two or three intercom systems be combined (daisy chain or?) somehow to extend the number in the group beyond 6? My group ranges from 15 - 20. Thanks!

A: 7 users max in one location with the UltraLITE system. 6 wireless, with one additional wired to the HUB. Not expandable currently.

Q: 6. Will this system work indoors through a wall?

A: Yes this system will work through the building walls.

Q: 7. Hello, I'm wondering if this system carries a PUSH-TO-TALK feature or are all of the headsets continuously open?

A: This system uses the POSITION of your microphone, as in:Position microphone UP = mutedPosition microphone down (front of mouth) = talk and continuously open until you move the mic back up again

Q: 8. Is this a FULL duplex system?

A: Yes it is. It works beautifully. Both parties can communicate with each other simultaneously.I have the 4 unit system. one Master and 3 remotes. It comes with an 8 dock battery charger in a carry case.

Q: 9. the extrenal hub gives you more covered distance and better signal? im afraid of having interference on concerts with 2000 cellphones around...

A: The Eartec UL4S UltraLite system operates in the 1920 to 1930 MHz range. 900MHz, 1800MHz and 1900MHz frequencies are not used in the US with the exception of 1 band using 1900MHz. Most cell phones in the US operate in the 800MHZ frequency range. So the risk of any problems with cell phones is pretty much slim to none. Not to mention the protocols are different between cell phones and professional duplex intercom and IFB systems.

Q: 10. my ideal camera production involves 4 cameras and a director,can i have at-least 5 headsets?

A: You can have up to 7 but you need the additional hub for this system. Search for the other Eartec products and find the one for 5, 6, or 7.

[14] Coming from the broadcast world, doing small to medium events. Really wanted to get away from wires and belt packs. These were the only cost-effective realistic solution. They worked great. We used them day in and day out. The batteries charge fast. The range was good. If you get enough people and enough staging in the way, of course you're going to lose reception over a couple hundred feet and how many walls. But I never felt like they were oversold in terms of range. I love these things, they made our work lives easier and better every day.

[Yes] These are great!

Flip down to talk.  Flip up to mute your mic.

There is one hub belt  that you hook up to 1 wired headset.  The other headsets are headset only, so you can listen and talk no belt pack needed.

Comes with a bag and 8 battery charger.

[10 Hours] I read multiple reviews of the Eartec UltraLITE Headsets prior to purchasing.

My first impression after unboxing was that these feel more like a toy than a production environment tool. The $22 battery replacement cost also is a bit of a red flag. It's a proprietary battery so third party batteries aren't an option.

In the past I've had to rely on hand signals or my production team members actually paying attention to move from live interviews to prerecorded scenes during livestreams. Not anymore.

These simply work, despite their amateur appearance. Since they operate on the 1.9 GHz spectrum, I've never experienced dropouts or interference when in use.

You can't toss them around like regular headphones. They not as well built as headphones. Keep them in the protective case when not in use and remove the batteries as recommended when not in use.

I'm sure other companies make a better built headset, but at a much higher cost.

If you treat them with care and follow the recommendations, these should provide you with several years of worry-free operation.

[10 Hours] These worked great, but there is one minor issue with the remote head sets. The master head set has a slider switch to turn it on or off. The remote head sets have a rubber push button that you have to hold down for say 3-5 seconds to shut the head set off. When you insert a battery in to the remote head sets they turn on. You have to make sure to turn the remote head set off when you insert the battery. It's very easy to put a fresh battery in a remote head set, not turn it off and then forget about it and have it drain the battery.

[14] I wasn’t expecting from a system at this price. I usually use a ClearComm system costing $12K. I even asked B&H if the product could be returned if not satisfied. I had 30-days. I received the 5-set Comm System 3-days prior to a 4 Cam shoot in a theater setting. I recorded for 3-days in a very loud environment with all actors and orchestra on wireless com’s. The Eartec. System worked flawlessly. Communication was crystal clear with plenty of volume. Battery life easily covered a Three hour show and set up. Headsets are comfortable. Build is very plastic like so not sure about durability. But I am definitely keeping this set. A great buy so far and at a fraction of the cost of a Telex/Clearcom system. I purchased the single ear configuration. During louder parts of the musical room noise made it difficult to hear. However, an earplug in the left ear solved that issue immediately. I would recommend this product to any production team.
