This UltraLITE Pro16 Long-Range Dual-Channel Full-Duplex Wireless Intercom System from Eartec includes four UltraLITE Pro16 Headsets (one single-ear master and three dual-ear remotes), four rechargeable LiPo batteries, one ten-port charger, and a small soft-side case. It is designed to accommodate four people who need to communicate wirelessly while simultaneously working with their hands. The Pro16 version of the UltraLITE line-up features a long 10-hour battery life and a 1/2-mile line-of-site operating range.

UltraLITE Pro16 all-in-one wireless headsets can link up to 16 users in full duplex without a base station or hub. Designed with a lightning-fast microprocessor that provides two channels of simultaneous hands-free communication, the Pro16 allows separate groups to speak privately. Connect your entire crew in a full-duplex conference with the simple touch of a button. The Pro16 talking pattern is easily modified in the field or expanded to accommodate your changing needs.

The Pro16 has been engineered with Active Frequency Hopping technology. This specialty wireless technique allows the headsets to monitor the surrounding environment and automatically switch channels whenever necessary to easily avoid interference. The operating range has been increased three-fold to over a 1/2 mile line of sight.

The UltraLITE headsets have the transceiver built right inside the earcup, eliminating headset wires and belt-worn radios. They provide two-way voice communication and the microphone arm can swivel 270°, allowing you to wear the mic on the left or right side. Raising the mic boom into the up position automatically mutes the microphone.

A fortified mic assembly, featuring internal metal construction and stainless attachment hardware is now standard. The new deluxe earpad is extra wide, soft, and weather resistant. New, large-capacity lithium-ion polymer batteries provide an impressive run time of up to 10 hours.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I add two headsets to my set?

A: Yes you can have one more headset without any additional hardware needed. If you need more then 5 headsets add the hub in the link bellow and that will allow you to use up to 8 headsets at once. If in the future you need more then 8 simply add another hub by connecting the two it will give you room to add 8 more headsets. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1269407-REG/eartec_hub_mini_duplex_transceiver_base.html

Q: 2. hello that contains the package of these radiotrasmisores?

A: This system comes with one Single-ear master headset, four single-ear remote headsets, five batteries, 8-bay charging base, and a soft-sided carrying case.

Q: 3. How many headsets i can use with one Hub ?

A: We bought a system that came with 5 headsets and the hub and I bought a separate headset and added it! Great Systems!

Q: 4. Are the headsets linked or synced right out of the box?

A: The system is linked simply by first turning on the headset labeled "Master," and then turning on the other satellite headsets. The master headset will flash a blue light to search for the others in the system, which will also show a flashing blue light. When the the lights on all of the units show solid blue, then they are synced.

Q: 5. Am I able to tie this into my soundboard so that cam able to speak into the in ear of worship director if needed?

A: No, the Eartec intercom system cannot be connected to a soundboard, but can be interfaced with certain other wired or wireless intercom systems. As another option for communicating with the worship director, you may want to consider using a separate two-way radio system with privacy channels, silent mode, and surveillance style headsets such as the Midland X-Talker T77VP5 36-Channel Two-Way UHF Radio Extreme Dual Pack (B&H # MIT77VP5) and Midland AVP-H3 Surveillance Headset - Pair (B&H # MIAVPH3). This system can be expanded for an unlimited number of users.

Q: 6. Does this Wireless intercom work in Monterrey Mexico?

A: Yes. This will work in Mexico.

Q: 7. Hows noise cancelling abilities? I work in high sound music/sports arenas, can I listen clearly?

A: The Eartec UL3S UltraLITE system is pretty good for noise cancellation. If you are a bit concerned regarding it's efficacy you might want to get the headphones that cover both ears instead of just one. This will give you even better isolation.

Q: 8. Is there a muting function on the microphones?

A: Yes, the microphone on the Eartec UltraLITE headset has an internal switch that automatically mutes the mic when the boom arm is moved so it points straight up.

Q: 9. Do you think this would work when filming bands at high volume?

A: Yes, the Eartec UL5D system is designed for effective voice communication even in high-volume and high-noise environments.

Q: 10. if I use 4 entire sets of this unit in a common space for 4 different user groups. will they work flawless without any crosstalk or interference.? also can I connect 2 or more Hubs together to get a larger common user group?

A: No, it is not possible to use four separate Eartec systems simultaneously in the same general open space because they would interfere with each other. However, the signal is not able to travel through walls or floors, so if the systems are placed far enough away from each other with walls or floors between each system, they could be used at the same time. But in one open space multiple systems cannot be used at the same time. It is possible to link two Eartec Hubs together to create a larger single wireless intercom system that will accommodate up to 16 users.

[Yes] These are great coms on a budget. I had an issue with one of them pairing out of the box. The Eartec customer service number is right on the soft carrying case, they walked me through the programming process in a couple minutes to get all four up and running. I will definitely add another headset and down the road upgrade to the hub when I need it.

[10 Hours] These are great!

Flip down to talk.  Flip up to mute your mic.

There is one hub belt  that you hook up to 1 wired headset.  The other headsets are headset only, so you can listen and talk no belt pack needed.

Comes with a bag and 8 battery charger.

[ADPCM / 32 b/s] I wasn’t expecting from a system at this price. I usually use a ClearComm system costing $12K. I even asked B&H if the product could be returned if not satisfied. I had 30-days. I received the 5-set Comm System 3-days prior to a 4 Cam shoot in a theater setting. I recorded for 3-days in a very loud environment with all actors and orchestra on wireless com’s. The Eartec. System worked flawlessly. Communication was crystal clear with plenty of volume. Battery life easily covered a Three hour show and set up. Headsets are comfortable. Build is very plastic like so not sure about durability. But I am definitely keeping this set. A great buy so far and at a fraction of the cost of a Telex/Clearcom system. I purchased the single ear configuration. During louder parts of the musical room noise made it difficult to hear. However, an earplug in the left ear solved that issue immediately. I would recommend this product to any production team.

[Headband] These worked great, but there is one minor issue with the remote head sets. The master head set has a slider switch to turn it on or off. The remote head sets have a rubber push button that you have to hold down for say 3-5 seconds to shut the head set off. When you insert a battery in to the remote head sets they turn on. You have to make sure to turn the remote head set off when you insert the battery. It's very easy to put a fresh battery in a remote head set, not turn it off and then forget about it and have it drain the battery.

[Headband] I read multiple reviews of the Eartec UltraLITE Headsets prior to purchasing.

My first impression after unboxing was that these feel more like a toy than a production environment tool. The $22 battery replacement cost also is a bit of a red flag. It's a proprietary battery so third party batteries aren't an option.

In the past I've had to rely on hand signals or my production team members actually paying attention to move from live interviews to prerecorded scenes during livestreams. Not anymore.

These simply work, despite their amateur appearance. Since they operate on the 1.9 GHz spectrum, I've never experienced dropouts or interference when in use.

You can't toss them around like regular headphones. They not as well built as headphones. Keep them in the protective case when not in use and remove the batteries as recommended when not in use.

I'm sure other companies make a better built headset, but at a much higher cost.

If you treat them with care and follow the recommendations, these should provide you with several years of worry-free operation.

[Yes] Broke in this four station system on a middle school musical and it worked like a champ. Clear crew comms for a reasonable cost. Can't speak to how durable they will be but they started out as exactly what we needed.
