Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. hello, is 100% flickering free? thank you

A: All I can say is that we have not had any flicker issues shooting with Panasonic HPX300 video cameras using standard shutter settings.

Q: 2. Can this mount on a light stand and still having a tilt function?

A: Yes. Though I use a cold shoe to mount on stand and that also has a tilt function.

Q: 3. Does anyone had issues with the battery mount in the back? 2 weeks ago I've taking it to do some ENG and for some reason the contact seems to be off and I had to wiggle the battery in the mount. Now, writting those lines the contacts seems OK after wiggleling the battery. I've been using the battery that came with and some Sony NP-F970 batteries for longer shoot. I've also tried this issue with the DC input and it works fine.

A: If you have had it less than 30 days, contact B&H Customer Service. If longer, then contact VidPro for service. Vidpro Tel: 718-523-2900 Website http://www.vidprousa.com/ Email Support@VidProUSA.com

Q: 4. Its a metal hot shoe or plastic?

A: Yes, the shoe is metal.

Q: 5. Can I use higher capacity Sony NP-F type batteries like those from Watson? Also, will I be able to charge said Watson brand batteries with the included VidPro charger?

A: if you will use it in a light stand like ido is perfect. But in hand held on camera setting will be heavier.

Q: 6. Suitable for light painting cars?

A: Ummm i guess so. Throws a lot of light and can be a bit blinding in peoples eyes, it is dimable but not enough. For the price and power its great

Q: 7. This may be a stupid question but would this light be compatible with a stabilizer? I mean weight wise. I have the axler nimbus dual axis stabilizer and i use a panasonic g7 to film. The stabilizer has multiple 1/4 inch mounting holes on the top but i feel like the vidpro led would make the stabilizer top heavy resulting in it being impossible to balance. Am i right or wrong?

A: I haven't used a stabilizer, so I can't answer for sure. This light is not heavy, but I assume that any weight you add will throw off the balance, unless you can counterbalance. Good luck.

Q: 8. When switching sources, does it cut or cross-fade? Also, what audio-follow features does it have?

A: This product does not provide a cross fade when switching sources. However you can select to have the audio be Source 1, Source 2, the Master Program or it can swap whatever is set for the master program.

Q: 9. What is the CRI of this light?

A: The CRI on this light is listed at 90.

Q: 10. Why only for video? What about night street photography?

A: You answered your own question. Why not. Just use it .Its portable and light. Go for it.

[DCI 4K at 60] I had two problems to solve. I wanted to be able to switch between game consoles without turning my entire CRT around to access the S-video port in the back. I also wanted a splitter to output to a capture card for live streams. This does both those things, and it does so without any noticeable loss in quality or added latency, at least to my eyes.

[16.5 x 9 x 4.7"] The switcher works as expected. I thought it might use the same IR code as my component switcher, which I did not want. But there was no interaction.

[16.5 x 9 x 4.7"] Our use case is driving two large 4k TVs in a conference room. We have a wireless streaming device, a Blackmagic SDI-HDMI converter, and two wall-plate HDMI inputs coming into the switcher. Sources are a mixture of HD, and 4k signals. A previous matrix switcher was unable to consistently negotiate the EDIDs and we were dealing with constant connection issues. So far, this A-Neuvideo switcher is functioning flawlessly.

Things I love:
* Solid construction and simple/clear controls
* Not only an IR receiver extension, but two IR transmitters included so you can pass power on/off (for example) signals to your display devices
* Included mounting brackets (metal, not plastic) and hardware
* Web interface that just works and makes configuration and troubleshooting much easier
* Included remote isn't premium, but a much better build than previous switcher
* ~1-second signal switching time across all four inputs
* Price was excellent given the feature set
* Standoff screw posts for each HDMI input/output for HDMI cables with a screw lock to prevent them from wiggling loose

Things I wish were different:
* Phoenix connectors on the back make sense for serial connections, but seem unnecessary for analog audio - RCA or stereo connectors would have been preferred, in my opinion
* Blue indicator LEDs are a little too bright and cast significant ambient light

Bottom line:
We haven't had this switcher long enough to comment on longevity, but if it continues to perform at this level we will be very happy.

[DCI 4K at 60] Quality is excellent. Remote is useless, doesn't affect my 5 star review. I never use the remotes during trial. Easy to use UI, works friendly with DAs and Monitors.

[7.06 lb] This is the second receiver I have on their own network. Worked fine. Just plug up an ethernet switch and let the units talk to each other. No router needed for me. Might be buying another one of these critters to hookup to tvs.

[DCI 4K at 60] I'm an old time video guy - if you had told me 20 years ago that I could by a 4x2 Matrix switcher for under $200 I'd say you are crazy. This thing is super easy to use and looks great. Fantastic product!
