[0.565 lb] The Impact MC-03 Magic Clamp not only is very useful for desks, but also very useful for bed frames! This is going to be my primary use, watching YouTube and movies hands free while I lay down facing up nice and comfortable with my pillow. 

This reduces fatigue holding a phone in bed for hours and trying to watch my content sideways and still having to hold the phone. Not anymore!

The gooseneck is made of metal, everything else is plastic.
There are two types of people, the ones that break everything they touch, others who like to add a little finesse handling things.

The ABS plastic is a hard plastic material, so the plastic clamp that attaches to surfaces, I find it sturdy, has a strong bite.

The phone holder being made of plastic, even loading with a heavy iPhone ProMax, it holds the phone fine, there is NO NEED to over tighten the ball mount. That is the ONLY part that requires a little finesse. This in my hands will last a long time.

Yes, it would be nice if the whole unit was made of metal. but it's going to cost more of course.

Pros: 
1-Very flexible (and metal) gooseneck, and even mounting in a bed frame which gravity will want to pull the gooseneck down, it stays!

The phone holder can tilt a little, allowing minor adjustments to be exactly parallel to my face mounting it on my bedframe frame and at a perfect height.

2-Clamp has a nice bite.

Cons:
1- Phone mount plastic parts may be a little fragile for some users.

Just be gentle with the phone holder ball mount and you'll be fine. You do NOT need to over tighten.

[Black] I was tired of drinks on the workstation so I picked this up and it works great and the drinks travel with you. I'd highly recommend purchasing these from the start to avoid any accidents.

[Flat, Round] Still can't seem to totally keep clients from putting drinks on my cart but it helps.

[Spring] The Impact MC-05 Magic Clamp with Cup Holder is fun addition to my kit. I use it predominantly as a drink/coffee cup holder for the director and/or client on the set. And let me tell you, they love it. And making the director/client happy is an especially good thing because they are the ones that usually do the hiring. You know the saying happy wife equals happy life. Well, in my experience, happy director and client equals happy bank account.

The clamp has a super strong grip, so I can attach it to carts, poles, light stands or table legs without worrying about it slipping. The rubber jaws give it extra hold and prevent any scratching, which is perfect when I’m using it on delicate surfaces.

The real star here is the cup holder. It’s the perfect size for a coffee cup, water bottle. No more drinks on the monitor cart with fear of it spilling. And also no more confusion of who's drink is who's.

But this cup holder can be used to hold other things, like even small tools and parts I need handy during a shoot. No more searching for that small tool I set down somewhere. It’s all right there, secured and accessible.

This clamp/cup holder is also well-made. It feels very durable, sturdy, and built to last and takes up hardly any space in my gear bag. It’s honestly such a simple, clever solution for anyone who spends a lot of time on set. [Spring] I like it so much I'm using it in the office, not the field

[Steel] Nice to have a secure place to place your 12 oz morning coffee, water bottle or plastic beverage container like a Coke or a beer at the end of a long shoot day. Nothing to knock over and spill.

[Flat, Round] No matter how many of these I buy, I still find myself wishing I had another one. Or three.
Keeps drinks from spilling all over expensive gear.
Also holds other stuff - even non-cylindrical stuff!
