UltraLITE Pro16 all-in-one wireless headsets can link up to 16 users in full duplex without a base station or hub. Designed with a lightning-fast microprocessor that provides two channels of simultaneous hands-free communication, the Pro16 allows separate groups to speak privately. Connect your entire crew in a full-duplex conference with the simple touch of a button. The Pro16 talking pattern is easily modified in the field or expanded to accommodate your changing needs.

The Pro16 has been engineered with Active Frequency Hopping technology. This specialty wireless technique allows the headsets to monitor the surrounding environment and automatically switch channels whenever necessary to easily avoid interference. The operating range has been increased three-fold to over a 1/2 mile line of sight.

The UltraLITE headsets have the transceiver built right inside the earcup, eliminating headset wires and belt-worn radios. They provide two-way voice communication and the microphone arm can swivel 270°, allowing you to wear the mic on the left or right side. Raising the mic boom into the up position automatically mutes the microphone.

A fortified mic assembly, featuring internal metal construction and stainless attachment hardware is now standard. The new deluxe earpad is extra wide, soft, and weather resistant. New, large-capacity lithium-ion polymer batteries provide an impressive run time of up to 10 hours.

Q: 1. Can you integrate with a Clear-Com system or is this a standalone system?

A: You would need the HUB-INT interface to connect to Clear-Com: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1722768-REG/eartec_hubin2dcc_hub_interface_wireless.html

Q: 2. Am I able to tie this into my soundboard so that cam able to speak into the in ear of worship director if needed?

A: No, the Eartec intercom system cannot be connected to a soundboard, but can be interfaced with certain other wired or wireless intercom systems. As another option for communicating with the worship director, you may want to consider using a separate two-way radio system with privacy channels, silent mode, and surveillance style headsets such as the Midland X-Talker T77VP5 36-Channel Two-Way UHF Radio Extreme Dual Pack (B&H # MIT77VP5) and Midland AVP-H3 Surveillance Headset - Pair (B&H # MIAVPH3). This system can be expanded for an unlimited number of users.

Q: 3. Hows noise cancelling abilities? I work in high sound music/sports arenas, can I listen clearly?

A: The Eartec UL3S UltraLITE system is pretty good for noise cancellation. If you are a bit concerned regarding it's efficacy you might want to get the headphones that cover both ears instead of just one. This will give you even better isolation.

Q: 9. Can two of the headsets be used on their own without the hub? How do I make one a master and the other link to it without the hub? Instructions online show how to do this on a different model.

A: In his set up, the headset that connects to the hub with a cable is always the master headset. You would have to get a separate wireless master headset to use for a two-person set up, without a hub.

A: Yes, you can add an Eartec HUB Mini Duplex Transceiver Base (B&H # EAHUB) to expand the number of wireless and wired headsets that can be used together. [950 mAh] I wasn’t expecting from a system at this price. I usually use a ClearComm system costing $12K. I even asked B&H if the product could be returned if not satisfied. I had 30-days. I received the 5-set Comm System 3-days prior to a 4 Cam shoot in a theater setting. I recorded for 3-days in a very loud environment with all actors and orchestra on wireless com’s. The Eartec. System worked flawlessly. Communication was crystal clear with plenty of volume. Battery life easily covered a Three hour show and set up. Headsets are comfortable. Build is very plastic like so not sure about durability. But I am definitely keeping this set. A great buy so far and at a fraction of the cost of a Telex/Clearcom system. I purchased the single ear configuration. During louder parts of the musical room noise made it difficult to hear. However, an earplug in the left ear solved that issue immediately. I would recommend this product to any production team.

[9] We've only had this system for a few weeks at our church, but it has made a huge positive impact for our production team. We have tried using walkie-talkie solutions, but they didn't come close to what we needed. It was worth the price to be able to have everyone on the same page throughout auditorium and backstage areas. We have a large space with concrete walls that aren't always the easiest for things like Wifi and cellphone signal, but these have no problem picking up.

[9] These worked great, but there is one minor issue with the remote head sets. The master head set has a slider switch to turn it on or off. The remote head sets have a rubber push button that you have to hold down for say 3-5 seconds to shut the head set off. When you insert a battery in to the remote head sets they turn on. You have to make sure to turn the remote head set off when you insert the battery. It's very easy to put a fresh battery in a remote head set, not turn it off and then forget about it and have it drain the battery.

[3 Hours] Much much better than walkie talkies....I used it this weekend for a RC race to communicate with my pitman.....with all those high pitched nitro engines, it sounded as if he was right next to me.

[950 mAh] I replaced some older EarTec's with wired headsets - no wires is much nicer. They eliminate static, but require a minimum level of speech volume to pick up - so you can't whisper too quietly if the event requires it. Otherwise very nice and lightweight, comfortable to wear.

[ADPCM / 32 b/s] I read multiple reviews of the Eartec UltraLITE Headsets prior to purchasing.

My first impression after unboxing was that these feel more like a toy than a production environment tool. The $22 battery replacement cost also is a bit of a red flag. It's a proprietary battery so third party batteries aren't an option.

In the past I've had to rely on hand signals or my production team members actually paying attention to move from live interviews to prerecorded scenes during livestreams. Not anymore.

These simply work, despite their amateur appearance. Since they operate on the 1.9 GHz spectrum, I've never experienced dropouts or interference when in use.

You can't toss them around like regular headphones. They not as well built as headphones. Keep them in the protective case when not in use and remove the batteries as recommended when not in use.

I'm sure other companies make a better built headset, but at a much higher cost.

If you treat them with care and follow the recommendations, these should provide you with several years of worry-free operation.

[3 Hours] Broke in this four station system on a middle school musical and it worked like a champ. Clear crew comms for a reasonable cost. Can't speak to how durable they will be but they started out as exactly what we needed.
