UltraLITE Pro16 all-in-one wireless headsets can link up to 16 users in full duplex without a base station or hub. Designed with a lightning-fast microprocessor that provides two channels of simultaneous hands-free communication, the Pro16 allows separate groups to speak privately. Connect your entire crew in a full-duplex conference with the simple touch of a button. The Pro16 talking pattern is easily modified in the field or expanded to accommodate your changing needs.

The Pro16 has been engineered with Active Frequency Hopping technology. This specialty wireless technique allows the headsets to monitor the surrounding environment and automatically switch channels whenever necessary to easily avoid interference. The operating range has been increased three-fold to over a 1/2 mile line of sight.

The UltraLITE headsets have the transceiver built right inside the earcup, eliminating headset wires and belt-worn radios. They provide two-way voice communication and the microphone arm can swivel 270°, allowing you to wear the mic on the left or right side. Raising the mic boom into the up position automatically mutes the microphone.

A fortified mic assembly, featuring internal metal construction and stainless attachment hardware is now standard. The new deluxe earpad is extra wide, soft, and weather resistant. New, large-capacity lithium-ion polymer batteries provide an impressive run time of up to 10 hours.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Which model/set is suitable for use in Peru / south america?

A: For use in South America you will need the EU version of the Eartec UL2SEU UltraLITE 2-Person Headset System - EU (B&H # EAUL2SEU).

Q: 2. Is there a way to use the 2.5 / 3.5 mm plug-in, as a way to connect a phone? Or feed program audio into the intercom?

A: No, the 2.5-3.5mm jack on the HUB is for connecting a wired headset such as the Eartec Max 4G Single Headset with Dual 2.5-3.5mm Connectors (B&H #EAHUBMXS).

Q: 3. Can two of the headsets be used on their own without the hub? How do I make one a master and the other link to it without the hub? Instructions online show how to do this on a different model.

A: In his set up, the headset that connects to the hub with a cable is always the master headset. You would have to get a separate wireless master headset to use for a two-person set up, without a hub.

Q: 4. Can these be linked with wired systems to add more “control room” users? I.e. with a PortaCom system?

A: Correction: The correct interface is item# EAHUBINCC

Q: 5. Is there a charging station for the batteries?

A: Yes, the Eartec UL4D UltraLITE 4-Person Headset System (USA) includes the Eartec 8-Port Multi-Charger for charging the batteries used in the UltraLITE headsets.

Q: 6. my ideal camera production involves 4 cameras and a director,can i have at-least 5 headsets?

A: You can have up to 7 but you need the additional hub for this system. Search for the other Eartec products and find the one for 5, 6, or 7.

Q: 7. I might need to have 16 headsets. Is there a way to connect all 16 together? Is it with two hubs connected together? And if so, which cable is it? Thank you

A: Eartec UltraLITE systems such as the Eartec HUB8S UltraLITE 8-Person HUB Intercom System are capable of operating with up to 9 headsets but are unfortunately not capable of linking two systems together. For a 16-headset comm system, we recommend linking two Hollyland Solidcom M1 Full-Duplex Wireless Intercom Solution (8 Beltpacks) (BH #HOHLSM18B): https://bhpho.to/33cCASN

Q: 8. I want to buy the Eartec HUB5SAU UltraLITE 5-Person HUB Intercom System (AU) system. Will it work in New Zealand ?

A: Yes, the AU versions from Eartec can be used in New Zealand.

Q: 9. if I buy UltraLITE 7 Person and then another 7 I can use the 14 together ?

A: Maybe. There is an interlink cable you can buy from Eartec, but you should confirm it works with 14 headsets (I've only used it with 10). Even if this works you need two base stations.

Q: 10. Can I add two headsets to my set?

A: Yes you can have one more headset without any additional hardware needed. If you need more then 5 headsets add the hub in the link bellow and that will allow you to use up to 8 headsets at once. If in the future you need more then 8 simply add another hub by connecting the two it will give you room to add 8 more headsets. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1269407-REG/eartec_hub_mini_duplex_transceiver_base.html

[950 mAh] These are awesome. We use them for the crew on our boat. They self pair. Anyone can figure them out. They are easy to charge.

[16] Broke in this four station system on a middle school musical and it worked like a champ. Clear crew comms for a reasonable cost. Can't speak to how durable they will be but they started out as exactly what we needed.

[ADPCM / 32 b/s] I read multiple reviews of the Eartec UltraLITE Headsets prior to purchasing.

My first impression after unboxing was that these feel more like a toy than a production environment tool. The $22 battery replacement cost also is a bit of a red flag. It's a proprietary battery so third party batteries aren't an option.

In the past I've had to rely on hand signals or my production team members actually paying attention to move from live interviews to prerecorded scenes during livestreams. Not anymore.

These simply work, despite their amateur appearance. Since they operate on the 1.9 GHz spectrum, I've never experienced dropouts or interference when in use.

You can't toss them around like regular headphones. They not as well built as headphones. Keep them in the protective case when not in use and remove the batteries as recommended when not in use.

I'm sure other companies make a better built headset, but at a much higher cost.

If you treat them with care and follow the recommendations, these should provide you with several years of worry-free operation.

[16] These are great coms on a budget. I had an issue with one of them pairing out of the box. The Eartec customer service number is right on the soft carrying case, they walked me through the programming process in a couple minutes to get all four up and running. I will definitely add another headset and down the road upgrade to the hub when I need it.

[ADPCM / 32 b/s] Much much better than walkie talkies....I used it this weekend for a RC race to communicate with my pitman.....with all those high pitched nitro engines, it sounded as if he was right next to me.

[ADPCM / 32 b/s] I replaced some older EarTec's with wired headsets - no wires is much nicer. They eliminate static, but require a minimum level of speech volume to pick up - so you can't whisper too quietly if the event requires it. Otherwise very nice and lightweight, comfortable to wear.

[1.152 Mb/s] I wasn’t expecting from a system at this price. I usually use a ClearComm system costing $12K. I even asked B&H if the product could be returned if not satisfied. I had 30-days. I received the 5-set Comm System 3-days prior to a 4 Cam shoot in a theater setting. I recorded for 3-days in a very loud environment with all actors and orchestra on wireless com’s. The Eartec. System worked flawlessly. Communication was crystal clear with plenty of volume. Battery life easily covered a Three hour show and set up. Headsets are comfortable. Build is very plastic like so not sure about durability. But I am definitely keeping this set. A great buy so far and at a fraction of the cost of a Telex/Clearcom system. I purchased the single ear configuration. During louder parts of the musical room noise made it difficult to hear. However, an earplug in the left ear solved that issue immediately. I would recommend this product to any production team.

[Headband] Coming from the broadcast world, doing small to medium events. Really wanted to get away from wires and belt packs. These were the only cost-effective realistic solution. They worked great. We used them day in and day out. The batteries charge fast. The range was good. If you get enough people and enough staging in the way, of course you're going to lose reception over a couple hundred feet and how many walls. But I never felt like they were oversold in terms of range. I love these things, they made our work lives easier and better every day.
