Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will a Yeti Blue Mic fit inside this? With the base on my desk?

A: It is possible to fit the Blue Yeti USB Microphone with the attached desktop base inside the Auray VOCDOC-ISOMD Microphone Isolation Chamber; however, it is recommended to mount the microphone to the Blue Radius III Shock mount for Yeti and Yeti Pro USB Microphones for better vibration absorption.

Q: 2. Does this work with a Neumann tlm 103? & do I need another shock mount to connect it to a mic stand?

A: It is definitely not intended for a shorter mic like the TLM 103, however that's the mic I'm using with it. To get it to work, I had to use the shock mount that came with the TLM 103, but flip it upside down. Fortunately, the mic can be threaded into the shock mount this way. Unfortunately, the ISO-Armor-2 has to sit on top of the shock mount, reducing the shock-absorbing effectiveness. The mic and ISO-Armor-2 are not able to float the way the shock mount is intended. The added weight of the ISO-Armor-2 would probably prevent this anyway. It's too bad I can't include a picture, because it'd be much easier to show. Just to be clear, the ISO-Armor-2 isn't a shock mount and doesn't provide any connection to a mic stand.

Q: 3. What is the best mic stand for this?

A: There isn't really any one specific mic stand that is best for the ISO-ARMOR-2. It can be mounted on shorter desktop/tabletop stands and also on taller full-size floor stands. It's a matter of what works best for your application and the microphone your are using.

Q: 4. Allow me to re-phrase the question. Understood that the Nikon BL-5 Cover only works with the D850 and the new BL-7 Cover only works with the new Z9. Can the "The Nikon BL-7 cover" be used with the EN-EL18c batteries (the EN-EL18c batteries are used in the D850 camera) ? Will the EN-EL18c batteries work in the Z9 with the Nikon BL-7 cover ?

A: The Nikon BL-7 Battery Chamber Cover does work with most EN-EL18 series Li-ion batteries including the EB-EL18C. You will lose functions when using that combination in the Nikon Z9. You will not be able to charge the EN-EL18C while in the Z9. And it will not charge with the MH-33 charger. The older battery uses the MH-26a or MH-26aAK charger.

Q: 5. Does this help eliminate computer fan noise?

A: This would help to reduce fan noise from a pc. For best results, you would want to use this, spaced as far away from the pc as possible, with the rejection side of the mic facing the pc.

Q: 6. Could this work with a UA SC-1? Width for SC-1 is 2.4" & this says max is 2.3". Is the bottom piece foam? Could I modify it?

A: Yes, the Universal Audio SC-1 Standard Condenser Microphone is compatible for use with the Auray ISO-ARMOR-2 Microphone Isolation Chamber. The chamber will hold microphones with a diameter of up to 2.3" and the SC-1 has a 2" diameter. The bottom piece is made of foam.

Q: 7. Would a Blue Yeti fit in this?

A: It would be a very tight fit on the Blue Yeti. I would consider using an Auray PFMU-12 Universal Wire Mesh Pop Filter with 12" Gooseneck (Matte Black), BH #AUPFMU12 with this mic, and an Auray RF-C12 Professional Desktop Isolation Filter (Gray), BH #AURFC12. These would pair well with the Blue Yeti.

Q: 8. Will this work on a desk anchored boom with Heil FL-2, supporting an AT2035 mic? I'm aware that it would accommodate the mic but wonder about the weight on the swivel boom?

A: It really depends on how much weight the boom arm can support. The combined weight of the Auray ISO-ARMOR-2 and AT2035 is 2.2 lbs without including an XLR cable. The Heil Sound FL-2 Flange Mount is designed to work with the Heil Sound PL2T Overhead Studio and Broadcast Boom Mount (B&H # HEPL2T) which can support up to 3.5 lbs. Based on this information, if you are using the PL2T or a similar boom arm that is capable of supporting the weight, it should work. Regardless, it is still a substantial amount of weight for a boom arm, so I would recommend being very careful when moving the arm with the mic and isolation mount attached and avoid placing it where it may be accidentally bumped.

Q: 9. Will this work with an Apogee Mic+?

A: This device is not recommended for the Apogee Mic+ since the mic is smaller than most standard large diaphragm condensers, and since the Apogee's controls would be hidden inside the unit.

Q: 10. Would this work with a Rode NT-USB Mini? I imagine it would if the bottom hole in the foam was shipped with a circular cutout, which I could leave in.

A: Unfortunately, I think the knobs on the side of the NT-USB will get in the way when mounting this. Using a reflection filter that does not surround the mic fully will probably be a better option for the mic you have.

[Yes] I bought this case to replace my pc case to fit with new colors and it's super nice and sleek. Everything was super easy to put back in and it gives a great view of the inside, it's not over/under tinted and the corner can fit a 12.6" LCD screen. My only negative is it not having RGB outlets but that probably just means I have old fans. 10/10

[Bottom] I understand it is easier to build what has been built before and perfect it, but I also really like it when I can get something that is well designed AND is unique. This case was really nice to build in for me and I love the fact that it came with the riser cable - it means my giant GPU isn't hanging off the motherboard and back panel, and also conveniently hides my poor cable management on the lower part of the motherboard (if you only look at it from the longer side). And it looks nice just because there's extra space after putting all the parts in. As others have before I put a little figurine (my Terraria Eye of Cthulhu) in there to balance it out.

Really no complaints about it other than that the PSU mounts sideways so my muscle memory complains about not being able to find the switch without looking.

[Bottom] WOW.. I build alot of systems.. alot of different case solutions. THIS ONE IS AMAZING! Very easy access, for tons of stuff! Cable management is phenomenal, and even has zip tie holds everywhere! I actually mounted two full size card inside.. One on the riser so it actually shows the good side of an video card!

[Bottom] Some complain about the air flow but no problem here with 6 intake and 4 exhaust. Plenty of room for the Rtx40 series and for neat cable management
So far so good

[Black] After having issues with Corsair directly, I decided to purchase one of their cases through B&H. My case arrived on time and undamaged. And the best part; I didn't even have to assemble it myself!

The box it came in was considerably damaged, but thankfully my case was unharmed. Make sure you're there when your shipment arrives so you can note any damages with the delivery prior to accepting the shipment. I got lucky, but returns and warranty are a real concern, so make sure they'll honor it.

[ATX] I haven't built a pc in years and the Hyte Y60 is everything I hoped it would be. Amazingly easy to build in and it's beautiful. Everyone says it looks like a high tech fish tank and my wife who's a bit a of nerd herself totally approves.
