UltraLITE Pro16 all-in-one wireless headsets can link up to 16 users in full duplex without a base station or hub. Designed with a lightning-fast microprocessor that provides two channels of simultaneous hands-free communication, the Pro16 allows separate groups to speak privately. Connect your entire crew in a full-duplex conference with the simple touch of a button. The Pro16 talking pattern is easily modified in the field or expanded to accommodate your changing needs.

The Pro16 has been engineered with Active Frequency Hopping technology. This specialty wireless technique allows the headsets to monitor the surrounding environment and automatically switch channels whenever necessary to easily avoid interference. The operating range has been increased three-fold to over a 1/2 mile line of sight.

The UltraLITE headsets have the transceiver built right inside the earcup, eliminating headset wires and belt-worn radios. They provide two-way voice communication and the microphone arm can swivel 270°, allowing you to wear the mic on the left or right side. Raising the mic boom into the up position automatically mutes the microphone.

A fortified mic assembly, featuring internal metal construction and stainless attachment hardware is now standard. The new deluxe earpad is extra wide, soft, and weather resistant. New, large-capacity lithium-ion polymer batteries provide an impressive run time of up to 10 hours.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can some confirm if this system can support up to 10 headsets ( 1 wired and 9 wireless)?

A: The maximum with the Eartech Ultralite system using the Hub mini duplex base is a total of only 9 users. Up to 17 users can be hooked with the Eartec HB35IL Interlink Cable for HUB Mini Duplex Transceiver Base, B&H # EAHB35IL and an additional HUB. This involves two wired users connected near each other, and up to 15 wireless stations.

Q: 2. Any hard case recommendations for the 4 pack?

A: Here's a recommendation for a case where the foam can be adjusted to handle the 4 headsets and charger tray, BH #PE1650FB.

Q: 3. does this will work in Maldives?

A: The Eartec UltraLITE 3-Person Full-Duplex Wireless Intercom with 3 Single-Ear Headsets (1.9 GHz, USA) is not guaranteed to work outside of North America. For Maldives, you will want to use the European (EU) version of the same system, which is B&H # EAUL3SEU. The European version operates on the 1880-1900 MHz frequency band and includes a European type wall plug.

Q: 4. can I purchase this with 3 double muff headsets and 2 single headsets?

A: Yes you can. The headsets are sold separately so you can add the quantity that you want for each. EAULSM and EAULSR is the single side for the master and remote headset. EAULDM and EAULDR for the dual ear headsets.

Q: 5. Would this unit work well if one of the headset/main hub is in a control room? All headsets would all be within 50-75m of one another, including the 1 in the control room.

A: The Hub is designed to extend the range of your existing Eartec wireless system by over 1000'.

Q: 6. how long does the included batteries last ??

A: We are a church and provide 2 services each sunday so our headsets are used almost continuously for 3.5hrs every week and we have no problem with them ever losing power.

Q: 7. Is this system legal to use in Europe? The 1920-1930 Mhz range seems to be used by telecom providers.

A: I cant answer for Europe, but they work fine in South Africa. These might be the best purchase we have made in terms of running our productions.

Q: 8. I have a eartec ultra lite 4 person system I'm using it on my boat during the summer season only How often do I have to charge the batteries and can the batteries stay in the charging unit betwen the charging period ??

A: To preserve optimum charge level, I would remove batteries from the headsets when system is not in use. Long term, I would not keep the batteries on the charger.

Q: 9. How long does the batteries last (from the headset and hub)?

A: Run time is 6 hours, and charge time is 3 hours.

Q: 10. I am hearing impaired and need a better way of communicating over the engine noise of our motor home. Some reviews complain of low volume. Also, will units amplify engine noise?

A: If the microphone can pick-up the engine noise then it will be transmitted along with your voice.

[11] Broke in this four station system on a middle school musical and it worked like a champ. Clear crew comms for a reasonable cost. Can't speak to how durable they will be but they started out as exactly what we needed.

[3 Hours] I read multiple reviews of the Eartec UltraLITE Headsets prior to purchasing.

My first impression after unboxing was that these feel more like a toy than a production environment tool. The $22 battery replacement cost also is a bit of a red flag. It's a proprietary battery so third party batteries aren't an option.

In the past I've had to rely on hand signals or my production team members actually paying attention to move from live interviews to prerecorded scenes during livestreams. Not anymore.

These simply work, despite their amateur appearance. Since they operate on the 1.9 GHz spectrum, I've never experienced dropouts or interference when in use.

You can't toss them around like regular headphones. They not as well built as headphones. Keep them in the protective case when not in use and remove the batteries as recommended when not in use.

I'm sure other companies make a better built headset, but at a much higher cost.

If you treat them with care and follow the recommendations, these should provide you with several years of worry-free operation.

[Headband] These worked great, but there is one minor issue with the remote head sets. The master head set has a slider switch to turn it on or off. The remote head sets have a rubber push button that you have to hold down for say 3-5 seconds to shut the head set off. When you insert a battery in to the remote head sets they turn on. You have to make sure to turn the remote head set off when you insert the battery. It's very easy to put a fresh battery in a remote head set, not turn it off and then forget about it and have it drain the battery.

[ADPCM / 32 b/s] I wasn’t expecting from a system at this price. I usually use a ClearComm system costing $12K. I even asked B&H if the product could be returned if not satisfied. I had 30-days. I received the 5-set Comm System 3-days prior to a 4 Cam shoot in a theater setting. I recorded for 3-days in a very loud environment with all actors and orchestra on wireless com’s. The Eartec. System worked flawlessly. Communication was crystal clear with plenty of volume. Battery life easily covered a Three hour show and set up. Headsets are comfortable. Build is very plastic like so not sure about durability. But I am definitely keeping this set. A great buy so far and at a fraction of the cost of a Telex/Clearcom system. I purchased the single ear configuration. During louder parts of the musical room noise made it difficult to hear. However, an earplug in the left ear solved that issue immediately. I would recommend this product to any production team.

[950 mAh] Coming from the broadcast world, doing small to medium events. Really wanted to get away from wires and belt packs. These were the only cost-effective realistic solution. They worked great. We used them day in and day out. The batteries charge fast. The range was good. If you get enough people and enough staging in the way, of course you're going to lose reception over a couple hundred feet and how many walls. But I never felt like they were oversold in terms of range. I love these things, they made our work lives easier and better every day.

[3 Hours] These are great coms on a budget. I had an issue with one of them pairing out of the box. The Eartec customer service number is right on the soft carrying case, they walked me through the programming process in a couple minutes to get all four up and running. I will definitely add another headset and down the road upgrade to the hub when I need it.
