The 24763 Cinema Contour Fixed Frame Screen by Da-Lite has a 57.5 x 92.0" viewing area, 16:10 aspect ratio, and 109" diagonal.

The HD Progressive 1.3 surface has a gain of 1.3, 150° viewing angle, and is ideal for applications where projector brightness and screen size require an increase in gain. The pure white HD Progressive surface offers true color reproduction, and allows for more flexibility with ambient light conditions. This seamless surface also allows for easy viewing of detail in video as well as charts and graphs in a corporate setting. HD Progressive 1.3 can be cleaned with mild soap and water, and is flame-retardant and mildew-resistant. This surface has also achieved GREENGUARD GOLD Certification. Black backing on the back of the viewing surface prevents light bleed-through.

The aluminum frame is 3” wide by 1.63” and is covered with black Pro-Trim fabric, which absorbs excess light around the viewing area. The frame is slip-jointed at corners and joints. The screen also includes standard wall-mounting brackets.

Q: 1. Is the Angenieux 30-90mm going to come out in EF mount?

A: At this time the lens is available in PL only. You can purchase an EF adapter if you wish. Angenieux EF-Mount for EZ-1 and EZ-2 Zooms B&H # ANEZEFMOUNT.

Q: 2. I see this series of lenses have a S35 compatibility. So how do you think these EZ lenses would preform compared to Cooke miniS4/i?

A: Angenieux has been making lenses since 1935 and their lenses are world class outstanding in build and image quality. They are in the same league as Cooke, Zeiss, Panavision, et all. I would say that the Angenieux would be of the same quality as the Cookes over all but the question comes down to what look your production needs. The Cooke look is the beloved one of warmth and easy focus roll-off. It is very complementary for faces. Angenieux is more neutral in color and again an easy focus roll-off. Then there is the big consideration that primes look different than zooms. In the end, while the differences are only apparent to the trained eye, these considerations are what make up the totality of the movie experience. I would say the decision comes down not to whether one lens is good or bad but which lens is right.

Q: 3. Does the lens have no focus shift over the entire zoom range? Can it hold it's focus from 30 to 90mm?

A: Lens is parfocal.

Q: 4. Does it noticeably breathe when shifting focus?

A: The breathing on this lens should be minimal.

Q: 5. Is the lens metadata? /I?

A: You will need to use the Angénieux MSU-1 & MSU-1A Universal Cine Servo Units for lens metadata and /i Cooke communication.

Q: 6. What is the widest physical dimension of this lens? I'm trying to see what size I would need to cut out in a custom made shape I'm creating in a case. Thanks

A: The Front diameter of this lens is 114mm, which appears to be the widest part of the lens.

Q: 7. If you buy this lens with out the FF rear element group can you purchase it in the future?

A: yes the FF rear element can be purchased and added at a later date

Q: 8. Does this lens share compatibility with either ARRI LDS, Cooke /i, or Zeiss eXtended data?

A: The Angenieux EZ-1 30 to 90mm Cinema Lens Pack (Super35 and Full-Frame) is not listed as having data capability.

Q: 9. Is there vignetting on Super35 sensors because of the 30mm image circle?

A: Vignetting is evident when the image circle (mm) is less than a camera sensor's diagonal (mm). The Angenieux EZ-1 will not vignette on a Super35 sensor because its image circle is larger than all Super35mm sensor cameras.

Q: 10. My question is about focul length in regards to the camera sensor. If my sensor is diagonal 28.9 mm, and the lens image circle is 30mm, will I really get 30mm at 30mm? Or is it more like 34mm on my sensor at 30mm on the lens?

A: This lens is designed to work with cameras that have a Super 35mm/APS-C Sized Sensor. The field of view will be the 35mm Equivalent of a 45-135mm lens.

[109" (277 cm)] Assembly for very straight forward. Looks great on the wall. Really like the velour wrap around the frame. It does a very good job of rejecting light back onto the screen. Because of the size, (110 inch) I decided to put up a folding screen to cover it when not in use. 5

[109" (277 cm)] This is my fourth ALR (ambient light reflecting) screen. The first thing to know is, there are no miracle screens. There are good ALR screens, but none perform miracles. Even the best don't show a great picture in a really bright room. The second thing to know is, don't necessarily believe the promotional pictures and videos from manufacturers that show amazing screen performance. They have positioned the screens, projectors and cameras to show the screens at their very best. You are unlikely to duplicate this in a real world situation. Almost all ALR screens have, to one extent or another, a major problem – screen artifacts. Shimmering, hot spots, sparkles, grainy appearance and so on. In order to eliminate this problem I have owned four different screens. My newest one, which wasn't available when I first started my quest for better picture quality, the Da-Lite Parallax, has none of these problems. Zero! The Parallax probably doesn't have quite as good of ambient light rejection properties as some of the other screens, but with some light control and careful placement of light sources, you can still have light in the room and a great picture. A great artifact free picture is really important now that we have 4K material to watch. 5

[107 x 9 x 8"] We use the screen in our church sanctuary once or twice a month. Installing it was an adventure with the weight and length, but several sections of scaffolding and a couple friends made the install move along nicely. The instructions for wiring were right on and it worked first try! The image is right on and visible the entire length of our viewing area (over 100'). 5

[109" (277 cm)] From an installers point of view, this screen really is nice. Install a top and bottom rail and the screen slides over the rails for an easy installation. The screen snaps to the rear of the frame for a very tidy and clean cut appearance. High quality frame, packaged well, easy to install... a good deal all the way around. 5
