The set also provides seven rechargeable LiPo batteries, one ten-port charger, and a large soft-side case. It is designed to accommodate seven people who need to communicate wirelessly while simultaneously working with their hands. The Pro16 version of the UltraLITE line-up features a long 10-hour battery life and a 1/2-mile line-of-site operating range.

UltraLITE Pro16 all-in-one wireless headsets can link up to 16 users in full duplex without a base station or hub. Designed with a lightning-fast microprocessor that provides two channels of simultaneous hands-free communication, the Pro16 allows separate groups to speak privately. Connect your entire crew in a full-duplex conference with the simple touch of a button. The Pro16 talking pattern is easily modified in the field or expanded to accommodate your changing needs.

The Pro16 has been engineered with Active Frequency Hopping technology. This specialty wireless technique allows the headsets to monitor the surrounding environment and automatically switch channels whenever necessary to easily avoid interference. The operating range has been increased three-fold to over a 1/2 mile line of sight.

The UltraLITE headsets have the transceiver built right inside the earcup, eliminating headset wires and belt-worn radios. They provide two-way voice communication and the microphone arm can swivel 270°, allowing you to wear the mic on the left or right side. Raising the mic boom into the up position automatically mutes the microphone.

A fortified mic assembly, featuring internal metal construction and stainless attachment hardware is now standard. The new deluxe earpad is extra wide, soft, and weather resistant. New, large-capacity lithium-ion polymer batteries provide an impressive run time of up to 10 hours.

Q: 1. There's a constant ringing in the master headset, but none in the remote headsets. Is this something that can be fixed, or is it normal?

A: To best assist you, please contact customer support at Eartec. They will be able to help you with troubleshooting the issue. You can reach them by phone at 800-399-5994 or 401-782-4966. They are available Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM EST.

Q: 2. Do any of these headsets work in the Caribbean I am in Barbados

A: This system works in the 1728 GHz range, so if you have restrictions on using this range of frequencies in Barbados then it will not work.

Q: 3. Is it useable in europe?

A: No, it is not..but there is a European version: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1389129-REG/eartec_ul4deu_ultralite_4_person_system.html

Q: 4. how can you turn off the 2 remote can you stop the remote headsets from blinking blue after turning off the main?

A: The flashing blue LED light on the earcup indicates that the Eartec UltraLITE Remote Headset is in pairing mode, searching for the Eartec UltraLITE Master Headset (or the Eartec HUB Transceiver Base, if using a system with the HUB instead of the Master Headset) to pair with. After turning off power to the Master Headset, press and hold the power button on the Remote Headsets for 4 to 5 seconds to turn them off.

Q: 5. Are there additional headsets that may be purchased to add onto a hub I already own? I recently purchased one with 6 headsets and found myself in need of two more.

A: The HUB allows connection of up to 8 wireless headsets and 1 wired headset. You can purchase additional wireless headsets and a wired headset, if you don't already have one. The Eartec UltraLITE Single-Ear Remote Headset with Rechargeable Lithium Battery - USA Version (B&H # EAULSR) and Eartec UltraLITE Dual-Ear Remote Headset with Rechargeable Lithium Battery - USA Version (B&H # EAULDR) are compatible wireless headsets that can be used with the HUB. The Eartec Max 4G Single Headset with Dual 3.5-2.5mm Connectors (B&H # EAHUBMXS) and Eartec Max 4G Double Headset with Dual 3.5-2.5mm Connectors (B&H # EAHUBMXD) are compatible wired headsets that can be used with the HUB.

Q: 6. Q&A says there are no replacement batteries, but accessories list a battery. What is the truth?

A: There are compatible replacement batteries available for use in the Eartec UltraLITE Headsets and HUB Transceiver. The battery is the Eartec Rechargeable 3.7V Lithium-Ion Battery for UltraLITE & HUB Systems (B&H # EALX600LI).

Q: 7. How would I connect it to a speaker so that more people in control room can be part of the conversation?

A: This system is not designed to be plugged into an external speaker.

Q: 8. Looks like the remote headsets are not sold separately? Was wanting to buy 2 now (Master and Remote), then 1 more Remote later.

A: They are grey not black

Q: 10. Can you buy multiple sets and have them act independently without interference but used in the same building?

A: A second set can be added but it increases the chances of interference between the two sets.

[1.152 Mb/s] These are great!

Flip down to talk.  Flip up to mute your mic.

There is one hub belt  that you hook up to 1 wired headset.  The other headsets are headset only, so you can listen and talk no belt pack needed.

Comes with a bag and 8 battery charger.

[Yes] I read multiple reviews of the Eartec UltraLITE Headsets prior to purchasing.

My first impression after unboxing was that these feel more like a toy than a production environment tool. The $22 battery replacement cost also is a bit of a red flag. It's a proprietary battery so third party batteries aren't an option.

In the past I've had to rely on hand signals or my production team members actually paying attention to move from live interviews to prerecorded scenes during livestreams. Not anymore.

These simply work, despite their amateur appearance. Since they operate on the 1.9 GHz spectrum, I've never experienced dropouts or interference when in use.

You can't toss them around like regular headphones. They not as well built as headphones. Keep them in the protective case when not in use and remove the batteries as recommended when not in use.

I'm sure other companies make a better built headset, but at a much higher cost.

If you treat them with care and follow the recommendations, these should provide you with several years of worry-free operation.

[7] Broke in this four station system on a middle school musical and it worked like a champ. Clear crew comms for a reasonable cost. Can't speak to how durable they will be but they started out as exactly what we needed.

[Yes] Coming from the broadcast world, doing small to medium events. Really wanted to get away from wires and belt packs. These were the only cost-effective realistic solution. They worked great. We used them day in and day out. The batteries charge fast. The range was good. If you get enough people and enough staging in the way, of course you're going to lose reception over a couple hundred feet and how many walls. But I never felt like they were oversold in terms of range. I love these things, they made our work lives easier and better every day.

[7] These are great coms on a budget. I had an issue with one of them pairing out of the box. The Eartec customer service number is right on the soft carrying case, they walked me through the programming process in a couple minutes to get all four up and running. I will definitely add another headset and down the road upgrade to the hub when I need it.

[Mono] I wasn’t expecting from a system at this price. I usually use a ClearComm system costing $12K. I even asked B&H if the product could be returned if not satisfied. I had 30-days. I received the 5-set Comm System 3-days prior to a 4 Cam shoot in a theater setting. I recorded for 3-days in a very loud environment with all actors and orchestra on wireless com’s. The Eartec. System worked flawlessly. Communication was crystal clear with plenty of volume. Battery life easily covered a Three hour show and set up. Headsets are comfortable. Build is very plastic like so not sure about durability. But I am definitely keeping this set. A great buy so far and at a fraction of the cost of a Telex/Clearcom system. I purchased the single ear configuration. During louder parts of the musical room noise made it difficult to hear. However, an earplug in the left ear solved that issue immediately. I would recommend this product to any production team.

[7] These worked great, but there is one minor issue with the remote head sets. The master head set has a slider switch to turn it on or off. The remote head sets have a rubber push button that you have to hold down for say 3-5 seconds to shut the head set off. When you insert a battery in to the remote head sets they turn on. You have to make sure to turn the remote head set off when you insert the battery. It's very easy to put a fresh battery in a remote head set, not turn it off and then forget about it and have it drain the battery.

[1.152 Mb/s] I replaced some older EarTec's with wired headsets - no wires is much nicer. They eliminate static, but require a minimum level of speech volume to pick up - so you can't whisper too quietly if the event requires it. Otherwise very nice and lightweight, comfortable to wear.
