  • Create a powerful, percussive sound on your clean guitar and melt steel alloy when playing lead with ultimate sustain
  • Smoothes out volume peaks and provides endless sustain with ultra-stable dynamics
  • Dedicated Sustain, Level, and Attack time controls for remarkable sound shaping
  • Status LED for effect on/off and battery check
  • First-class electronic on/off switch for highest signal integrity in bypass mode
  • Runs on 9V battery or the Behringer PSU-SB DC power supply (not included)

  • Due to the physics of the string gauge, strings with lower mass don’t put out as much volume as the heavier ones. When used properly, a compressor makes all of the strings the same volume. Compressors are also great for slap-style bass players, making thumb slaps, string pulls and muted notes all the same volume, for an extremely percussive effect.
  • Twist the Level knob to determine this pedal’s overall output, adjust the Attack to give the front-end of every strum and pluck added definition, then dial in the amount of sustain desired. The status LED tells you when the CL9 is on, and the high-quality on/off switch maintains incredible signal integrity in bypass mode.

[Purple] Excellent! It does everything I need and more for my pedal steel and telecaster setup, and built in effects can so easily be added or backed off on the fly. Now to see if it can last, being a pretty cheap mixer Ive read varying reports on Behringer, fingers crossed...

[30 mA] For a pedal that's been around for years, it's very high quality/price ratio. Probably the king of all the budget multi-effect options out there. The interface does take some getting used to, but the sounds you can create with it are solid.

[0.92 lb] Exactly what we've come to expect from Boss/Roland. Pedal just works. Sounds good and built like a tank. Easy on batteries when you don't want to run power. Priced right.

[Purple] Zoom knocks it out of the park with every product they make. I needed a volume pedal. This multieffects unit cost less than a volume pedal. Plus it gives me a looper, drum machine, and multieffects.

This pedal provides a studio quality effect unit for the price range. I don't play out live so I don't know what the noise level of this pedal is like under stage conditions. I also bought the Zoom MS-50G which is a higher quality pedal but not as fun. The MS1 has knobs and switches for effective realtime control.

It is very easy and faster to write and customize effects compared to the MS-50G. Both pedals are great.

[0.92 lb] The MS-50G pedal is first class. It is every bit as clean, quiet, and well built as the Boss pedals. It is not a replacement for the Boss line. Zoom pedals have a character of their own. Personally, I like the Zoom tone. But I'm not a guitar player.

There is a great ~15 minute YouTube instructional video for the MS-50G. I got over the learning curve for writing and storing effects by watching this video, then I bought pedal.

It replaces several pieces of my high quality studio gear when I need fast results that are of high level audio quality.

Zoom delivers with this product. After I watched this video I purchased the pedal. I also like my G1X as a companion to this pedal. The G1X has a nice volume/expression pedal.

[Purple] The Electro Harmonix Platform Compressor is a fantastic stereo compressor pedal that works quite well. It runs on a standard 9-volt pedal power supply that it comes with. I used three of them for a live techno set I was doing. I had a Roland TR-8, Roland TB-3, and Novation Circuit all synced and running together. I had Platform Compressors on the stereo out of each piece of gear and they worked perfectly. They were very reliable but I did have a user error once which I will mention so you can avoid it. The Swell knob got bumped and my attack times began fading in completely throwing off the timing of the TB-3. I couldn't figure out what happened till after my set. So be careful to not hit this knob mid performance. To remedy this possibility, I used electrical tape to hold my knob settings in place after this incident and never had this issue again. The Platform Compressor is fantastic for the money and for the functionality. Stereo compression has never been more convenient with the Platform Compressor.

[7 x 3.5 x 2.4"] This compressor is incredible for pedal steel guitar. Channel 1 goes to volume pedal, 2 and 3 stereo at end of chain for more comp/limiting of peaks and noise gate since I have single coil pickups. Full control, perfect!

[7 x 3.5 x 2.4"] TV signal levels are all over the map when using an external amplifier. If you turn down the theme music of a program, the dialog is way too quiet. When you have the dialog at a comfortable level, the music jars you out of the chair. You get the picture. I got fed up and decided to get the Rolls SL33b limiter. I hooked it up, put the knob pointers mid-way (straight up)and haven't needed to use the volume control on the amplifier since. It does the job perfectly. If you're an audiophile, you may not appreciate the over-all sound quality. Music seems a little squashed but NOT distorted. That's why they call it a limiter. The dynamic range is compressed. It is a very acceptable compromise for smooth listening. The SL33b is well made and very compact. You can easily set it, hide it and forget where you hid it.
