Q: 8. Is this tripod compact enough to fit as carry-on for airplane travel?

A: The answer depends. The short answer is: probably not. The overall dimension of this tripod aren't provided by the manufacturer, but based on the other tripods around this size, I would estimate its size to be approximately 22.5" long with a apex diameter of about 5-7" around. It's not a compact tripod, relatively speaking. Technically, as long as you can fit that into a carry on that meets your airline's limit (typically 22 x 14 x 9 domestic and 21 x 13 x 8 international) it should not be an issue. The TS-84C comes with its own bag as well, which by itself is not guaranteed to meet your airline's overhead limit, likely due to the width of the overhead bin. Depending on many other factors, your airline might allow it, or subject it to check-in only or gate check, so it's best to contact your carrier directly and check how strict they are with their carry-on restrictions.

Q: 9. What is the capacity? Specs show 22 lbs and a weight of 9.24 lbs. The E6 specs show half the weight and a capacity of 33lbs.

A: The tripod weighs 5.3lbs and has a load capacity of 22lbs.

Q: 10. Which tripod leg protectors fit this tripod?

A: The legs are 28mm in diameter so you can use these Leg Coat wraps: https://bhpho.to/3vwu9Li

[1x 1/4"-20 Male] This Tripod and Gimbal Head is amazing. This is my 1st Gimbal head, and with only using for a very short while, 2 weeks, I can say it's a keeper. The rotation with my Nikon 200-500 lens is as smooth as silk.

I have a L-bracket for my second camera so I can easily make the switch without changing heads on the tripod.

I'm Still getting use to the legs on the tripod, my 1st tripod with the twist legs.

I am finding it a little harder to carry from spot to spot due to the head being larger, but I'm sure I will adjust to it. Just takes time to know how to position it on my shoulder.

I hang a sandbag on it when I'm shooting birds in my garden or I can hang my backpack on it when elsewhere.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone, especially for tracking birds.

[3.785 lb] This tripod design is so well thought out. It weighs nothing, it’s sturdy and it folds down so small. The split center column is great for low shots. The ball head is really well thought out. There’s a panoramic adjustment on the clamp on top and if I adjust the ball to portrait mode and mount my 40-150 f2.8 or 100-400 lens collars on in this position I can shoot like I do with a gimbal. Saves a lot of weight and space traveling with its versatility. Love the quick deployment

[1x 1/4"-20 Male] I was a little apprehensive at first when I bought this tripod+ballhead because it was not a brand I recognized. But having examined the product, it is every bit as good or even superior to another European brand that I had bought before. The machining of the parts are precise and it is indeed a travel tripod that now fits in my carry-on. The Arco-type quick mount is one of the things that sold the product to me. At a hefty 17-lb capacity, it is all I need as an all-purpose tripod, even good enough for my 200-400 f4 Nikkor beast of a lens. There are two levels that allows for horizontal or vertical leveling. Nothing was left to chance in this tripod product. Even the tools for configuring are included. It also functions as a monopod using one leg of the tripod and the center column. Having both spikes and rubber feet allow it to handle various terrain. And have I told you about the fact that is mostly carbon fiber and therefore very light. After buying this tripod with all its features, functionality, and included accessories, I have not had to buy anything else.

[90°] Ordered this to replace list travel tripod I purchased 12 years ago from B&H. Not only is this lighter, stronger and two inches shorter when folded than my old one, it also sets up much easier with one twist of bottom leg. I used this on recent trip and it was great. Much quicker and easier to deploy than models where each leg segment needs to be locked. The real bonus is the price which is half what I paid in 2012!!

[3.785 lb] This tripod is easy to set up and use quickly. The legs are just a quick turn to lock them. It is extremely compact and lightweight and is much taller than I thought it would be. The gimbal head is great for both my canon EOS R7 and my vortex 20-65x80 spotting scope. It is very easy to level the gimbal head for panoramic photos. the gimbal head is very easy to use and very smooth. Only thing that's not great is the price. I know a professional, photographer who uses it and had no problems with high winds when other tripods were failing.

[90°] I love this tripod because the tripod itself is very sturdy, yet lightweight. I am 5'6 tall and it suits me well without extending it completely to its limit. I would say if you're 5'9 it would still work really well for you.

The head offers a ballhead, gimbal head, and video panhead together in one. What I love most is that you can loosen the tension on the head and turn it from a smooth pan, to providing you gentle click-stops that clue you in to how much panning is needed before you take another shot. This is AWESOME for night photography especially! No guesswork on your overlapping shots anymore---you can get it just right!

I also love how lightweight this tripod is. At just over 5lbs and collapsing to about 24, it really suits me well. It's durable, no center column so I can get the legs to open up to about 90 and the feet don't fall off like on another tripod brand I've owned.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the instant level feature on the tripod that works with the head. It makes it SO much easier than adjusting the height of the legs when you need to get perfectly level.

The video panhead is awesome as well. Just the right amount of soft tension so that you can do panning without the stuttering and shake that a traditional ballhead or gimbal would give you.

I never heed to switch tripod heads again. This has solved my issues of past tripods and heads.

Lastly, you can set your head in such a way that your lens can shoot on its nodal point for multi-stitched panos---reducing the distortion that you get of traditional ball heads or gimbal heads that do not have this feature.

Great stuff. I've owned this tripod for several years and can't imagine having anything else.

[1x 1/4"-20 Male] This tripod is amazing! It is unbelievably compact and lightweight. It is perfect for traveling with a small, light camera, such as the Canon R10 with an RF-s lens.

It is not for heavy, full-frame cameras, or pro work. I would never use it with my full-frame battery-grip camera, and a large f2.8 lens. But that's not what it's for.

If you want an incredibly compact and lightweight travel tripod for a lightweight camera, this is it. It is awesome!
