Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the maximum weight that this tripod can hold.

A: This can hold a maximum weight of 28.2 oz.

Q: 2. would it work with ipad mini?

A: You can use a Tablet Tripod Adapter to attach to the tripod. Something like this item below for instance. The tripod has a Max Load capacity of 800g. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1487517-REG/ulanzi_0338_u_pad_ipad_holder.html?sts=pi&pim=Y

Q: 3. Is this tripod compact enough to fit as carry-on for airplane travel?

A: The answer depends. The short answer is: probably not. The overall dimension of this tripod aren't provided by the manufacturer, but based on the other tripods around this size, I would estimate its size to be approximately 22.5" long with a apex diameter of about 5-7" around. It's not a compact tripod, relatively speaking. Technically, as long as you can fit that into a carry on that meets your airline's limit (typically 22 x 14 x 9 domestic and 21 x 13 x 8 international) it should not be an issue. The TS-84C comes with its own bag as well, which by itself is not guaranteed to meet your airline's overhead limit, likely due to the width of the overhead bin. Depending on many other factors, your airline might allow it, or subject it to check-in only or gate check, so it's best to contact your carrier directly and check how strict they are with their carry-on restrictions.

Q: 4. Does the bluetooth shutter work for starting/stopping video on an android phone?

A: Yes, the Bluetooth Shutter remote included with the Fotopro UFO2 Tripod Kit BH #FOUFO2KIT works for IOS and Android devices and it works to start and stop videos as well as for taking pictures.

Q: 5. this particular tripod and head will it handle lens as small as 50mm Nikon?

A: Hi, this gimbal and most gimbals are designed for a large telephoto lens with a tripod collar to be mounted to it, not the camera. A 50mm lens doesn't have any mounting capability by itself, but you could mount a camera using a compatible quick-release plate.

Q: 6. Is there a taller version? I'm 6 ft. tall and the max height on this is only 5'3".

A: If you are looking for an option from Fotopro and you are looking for an option with a gimbal head, then no, they do not have a taller option. If the gimbal head is not a requirement, the Fotopro T-Roc MAX Professional Tripod, B&H # FOTROCMAX, has a maximum height of 67.3 inches, and would be the tallest option offered by Fotopro in our inventory.

Q: 7. Would this work with a Paralenz and be suitable to use as a grip to hold the Paralenz while diving?

A: This will not hold a Paralenz camera and it is not water rated.

Q: 8. If the fotopro videohead has max payload of 3 kg, how can it hold 5 kg when paired with the X-Aircross 3?

A: The max load for the Fotopro X-Aircross 3 Video Carbon Fiber Tripod (Slate Gray) is 10kg.

Q: 9. What is the difference between the Fotopro X-Aircross 3 Video and the Lite Video?

A: The Fotopro X-Aircross 3 Video Carbon Fiber Tripod holds 22 lb vs the 11 lb payload of the lite version.

Q: 10. Can you take out the Center Coulmn on this model? On the FotoPro website it says that you can, but it is not listed as a feature here.

A: Yes. the center column on the Fotopro T-Roc MAX Professional Tripod can be take out.

[5] works really well for shooting flowers etc. which I do a lot of. Low angle photography is really difficult. Especially when your 77 yrs old and handicapped. This tripod simplifies the process

[Ball Head] You could do a lot worse than this - anyone looking for a low-level compact tripod for nature or travel photography should check this out. Sturdy aluminium construction with an ***ARCA Swiss*** ball-head rated at 8kg weight handling this is a tad heavy at 0.8kg (1.7lbs) for its size however this reflects its sturdy construction - buy one these now before they are gone they are still being advertised around $AUD140 retail as this model has now been discontinued. Before deciding on which model to buy I did look at the usual options from Manfrotto, Benro, Leofoto, Smallrig, Neewer and others and decided that this one offered the best value for money for the use that I expected to put it to. I may swap the ball-head for a sturdier Benro unit however not until I see how this baby performs "in the field".

[1x 1/4"-20 Male] This thing is small, but it works great. Very lightweight and really small so you'll be more likely to take it with you when you just want to grab your camera for a walk in the park, or a hike or a bike ride.
I got it for a recent trip to Canada, and it easily fit in my small camera bag.
The only downside is you might need to find someone with strong hands to tighten down the ball head if you're using a very heavy / long lens. This is probably not going to be an issue if you're using a reasonably sized lens (600mm or longer might be impacted, but it still will work, I've done it)

[5] It's a shame these are no longer available because this little tripod far exceeded my expectations. The build quality is excellent, functionality is beyond good and I'll get plenty of use from this.

[Yes] I bought this tripod to use as an easel on which I attach a board that holds my sketch pads. I really appreciate its solid build and functionality. I wish I had purchased this type of tripod years ago. I highly recommend it.
