The set also provides ten rechargeable LiPo batteries, one ten-port charger, and an extra-large soft-side case. The Pro16 version of the UltraLITE line-up features a long 10-hour battery life and a 1/2-mile line-of-site operating range.

UltraLITE Pro16 all-in-one wireless headsets can link up to 16 users in full duplex without a base station or hub. Designed with a lightning-fast microprocessor that provides two channels of simultaneous hands-free communication, the Pro16 allows separate groups to speak privately. Connect your entire crew in a full-duplex conference with the simple touch of a button. The Pro16 talking pattern is easily modified in the field or expanded to accommodate your changing needs.

The Pro16 has been engineered with Active Frequency Hopping technology. This specialty wireless technique allows the headsets to monitor the surrounding environment and automatically switch channels whenever necessary to easily avoid interference. The operating range has been increased three-fold to over a 1/2 mile line of sight.

The UltraLITE headsets have the transceiver built right inside the earcup, eliminating headset wires and belt-worn radios. They provide two-way voice communication and the microphone arm can swivel 270°, allowing you to wear the mic on the left or right side. Raising the mic boom into the up position automatically mutes the microphone.

A fortified mic assembly, featuring internal metal construction and stainless attachment hardware is now standard. The new deluxe earpad is extra wide, soft, and weather resistant. New, large-capacity lithium-ion polymer batteries provide an impressive run time of up to 10 hours.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Do I need anything additional to these headsets to get started, or is this totally standalone?

A: The Eartec UL4D UltraLITE 4-Person Headset System is all you need for two-way communication between four people. It is a standalone system.

Q: 2. If I want to add one or two more headsets down the road can they be wireless as well or do they need to be wired into the hub.

A: The seventh headset would have to be a wired headset plugged into the HUB Mini Base.

Q: 3. what mean USA version?...its usable only on USA?

A: The Multi-Port Charging Base included with this system ships with a power supply that supports 120VAC only. A voltage converter for use outside of the US would be required.

Q: 4. Hi, just want to confirm package detail before check out.It appears that this package contains 5 rechargeable batteries for the headsets, and 1 rechargeable battery for the hub. If it doesn't come with a stand alone charging unit(like the multi base in the accessories), do we just plug the AC adaptor into the headphone with the battery inside to charge the battery?

A: The Eartec HUB systems all ship with an 8 bay multi-charging unit that can accommodate charging of all the included units simultaneously. https://bhpho.to/2hHIIVo

Q: 5. Can the Eartec hub (7) system be used to expand an existing 4-Eartec system to a total of 11 working units?

A: With 1 hub you can use up to 8 wireless headsets in full duplex and with 2 hubs linked together you can use up to 16 wireless headsets in full duplex.

Q: 6. Can I use in South Korea?

A: For South Korea, you would want the version with the EU frequencies, BH #EAUL4SEU.

Q: 7. i want interlink for 13 user b&h i can't linkand i can boost range with panel ?

A: Please contact the manufacture for customized systems.

Q: 8. Are these water resistant? Can you upgrade the battery for longer use?

A: No, the Eartec components are not water resistant. At this time Eartec does not offer a higher-capacity battery, but you can purchase additional batteries for the headsets and HUB which is the Eartec Rechargeable 3.7V Lithium-Ion Battery for UltraLITE & HUB Systems (B&H # EALX600LI).

Q: 9. Can you add two more headsets on a 7- piece to make the system into 9-piece system?

A: Yes, you can add two more wireless headsets for a total of 8 wireless and 1 wired. That is the limit.

Q: 10. does the system have audio in/out to pair with a wired sistem? I mean a clearcom 4w intercom

A: Unfortunately it does not pair with a wired system.

[10] I replaced some older EarTec's with wired headsets - no wires is much nicer. They eliminate static, but require a minimum level of speech volume to pick up - so you can't whisper too quietly if the event requires it. Otherwise very nice and lightweight, comfortable to wear.

[10] Broke in this four station system on a middle school musical and it worked like a champ. Clear crew comms for a reasonable cost. Can't speak to how durable they will be but they started out as exactly what we needed.

[ADPCM / 32 b/s] We've only had this system for a few weeks at our church, but it has made a huge positive impact for our production team. We have tried using walkie-talkie solutions, but they didn't come close to what we needed. It was worth the price to be able to have everyone on the same page throughout auditorium and backstage areas. We have a large space with concrete walls that aren't always the easiest for things like Wifi and cellphone signal, but these have no problem picking up.

[950 mAh] These worked great, but there is one minor issue with the remote head sets. The master head set has a slider switch to turn it on or off. The remote head sets have a rubber push button that you have to hold down for say 3-5 seconds to shut the head set off. When you insert a battery in to the remote head sets they turn on. You have to make sure to turn the remote head set off when you insert the battery. It's very easy to put a fresh battery in a remote head set, not turn it off and then forget about it and have it drain the battery.

[10] I wasn’t expecting from a system at this price. I usually use a ClearComm system costing $12K. I even asked B&H if the product could be returned if not satisfied. I had 30-days. I received the 5-set Comm System 3-days prior to a 4 Cam shoot in a theater setting. I recorded for 3-days in a very loud environment with all actors and orchestra on wireless com’s. The Eartec. System worked flawlessly. Communication was crystal clear with plenty of volume. Battery life easily covered a Three hour show and set up. Headsets are comfortable. Build is very plastic like so not sure about durability. But I am definitely keeping this set. A great buy so far and at a fraction of the cost of a Telex/Clearcom system. I purchased the single ear configuration. During louder parts of the musical room noise made it difficult to hear. However, an earplug in the left ear solved that issue immediately. I would recommend this product to any production team.

[Headband] I read multiple reviews of the Eartec UltraLITE Headsets prior to purchasing.

My first impression after unboxing was that these feel more like a toy than a production environment tool. The $22 battery replacement cost also is a bit of a red flag. It's a proprietary battery so third party batteries aren't an option.

In the past I've had to rely on hand signals or my production team members actually paying attention to move from live interviews to prerecorded scenes during livestreams. Not anymore.

These simply work, despite their amateur appearance. Since they operate on the 1.9 GHz spectrum, I've never experienced dropouts or interference when in use.

You can't toss them around like regular headphones. They not as well built as headphones. Keep them in the protective case when not in use and remove the batteries as recommended when not in use.

I'm sure other companies make a better built headset, but at a much higher cost.

If you treat them with care and follow the recommendations, these should provide you with several years of worry-free operation.

[16] Coming from the broadcast world, doing small to medium events. Really wanted to get away from wires and belt packs. These were the only cost-effective realistic solution. They worked great. We used them day in and day out. The batteries charge fast. The range was good. If you get enough people and enough staging in the way, of course you're going to lose reception over a couple hundred feet and how many walls. But I never felt like they were oversold in terms of range. I love these things, they made our work lives easier and better every day.
