[Silver] This is a very rugged, well-built clamp providing a very solid mount for a mono-bloc or anything else with a built-in, female baby-pin. This is an invaluable accessory in my studio... enough so, I have a half-dozen of various lengths.

[Silver] I've used other vise type clamps, but the Kupo is my favorite. The knob is really smooth and helps setup go quickly. What sets the Kupo apart is the baby pin receiver. I prefer using this type of clamp over a super clamp for most applications, but I don't like having to attach items to the end of the threaded rod all of the time. The additional receiver lets me mount things closer the clamp, as well as mount different items that would normally need an adapter to be used with the clamp. I've used magic arms, pole extensions, and different spigots in this clamp and it has worked great every time.

[Silver] I use this product to secure a 77 x 77 Photoflex LitePanel overhead of my portrait subjects to block/scrim sunlight from directly above. To accomplish this I use 2 light stands plus 2 each of the Kupo 4 Super Viser along with either a Manfrotto Lite-Tite or, for heavier applications, one of the excellent Chimera single or dual axis stand adapters. The Kupo is a variation on the Cardellini clamp which is very popular in the movie industry. These clamps are quite large. On their website, Kupo says the length is about 9 in total but it is closer to 12. What the Kupo has, that other Cardellinis do not, is a hex receptacle at the end near the none-moving jaw. This allows you to pop a hex end spigot (not included) in and mount the unit to the Lite-Tite so that the weight of the panel (or whatever else you are gripping) is close to the Lite-Tite rather than suspended nearly a foot away which it would be if you used the baby spigot built into the other end of the clamp. Using the Super Viser you can put a death grip on whatever you clamp or you can ease back. The jaws are rounded and have a high friction lining. By easing back on the clamping force the LitePanel frames can pivot in the jaws thereby making it easier for me to raise one light stand at a time. It also makes attaching a large LitePanel to 2 stands a much simpler job for one person.

[Steel] I bought this clamp because it has a smaller jaw that fits into this tiny space in my studio when I need to clamp a light. It is versatile with 2 mounting at each end. Also, the jaw doesn't swing around like other clamps of this kind. That is real bonus.

[Silver] This is basically a cardellini that has an extra baby pin receiver on one end. If you're familiar with cardellinis, this one is as good as any I've used. If you've never used one, it'll clamp just about anything to just about anything else! Much more secure than a mafer (especially on flat surfaces). ONE MINOR CON --- They're so nice, they seem to disappear from set more often than other items!!!
