Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. This is a general question for this and other scopes: Does the eye relief change as the magnification increases?

A: Yes eye relief does have a tendency to change at different magnifications.

Q: 2. can you attach a camera to the scope?

A: Not really. There is no attachment for this small scope to attach a camera, and the eyepiece doesn't have the FOV for digiscoping. The Razor 65mm and 85mm scopes do have digiscoping attachments and better Long Eye Relief objectives for attaching cameras.

Q: 3. Does this scope have diopter adjustment for those of us who want to use it without our glasses? If so, what is the range of adjustment?

A: The Vortex Razor HD 11-33x50 Spotting Scope (Straight Viewing) BH #VO1133X50RSS • MFR #RZR-50S1 does not have a diopter adjustment.

Q: 4. Is there an adapter to attach a micro four third camera to this Vortex razor scope?

A: Yes you can get the Novagrade T-Mount Digiscoping Adapter, with the Opticron T-Mount for Micro Four Thirds Cameras. Website link to 1st Adapter: https://bhpho.to/2uNMnLgWebsite link to 2nd Adapter: https://bhpho.to/2gLzGZ3

Q: 5. Would this fit the eyecups of a Canon 10x42 IS? Each eyecup is 45mm in diameter and the guards Canon issues are too loose.

A: Unfortunately these Eyecup's are dedicated. We cannot confirm if they will be compatible with Canon Model. My apologies.

Q: 6. Is this the version with an Arca-Swiss foot? Not clear on BH or MFR site.

A: The Vortex Viper HD 20-60x85 Spotting Scope (Angled Viewing) has an integrated Arca-type foot to mount directly to Arca-type tripods. No additional plates would be needed.

Q: 7. Is it possible to substitute a fixed focal length ocular for the zoom?

A: The fixed eyepiece is only sold as an optional accessory. It cannot be substituted. https://bhpho.to/2kIuxqG

[Neoprene] I bought a pair of viper vinos about 6 years ago and from the day of purchase I have longed to get a razor spotter! Well the day finally came about 4 months ago! I am blown away by this amazing instrument! The clarity is off the charts! I have used other high end brands like sworovski, Leopold, night force, and Leica and I have to say that for the price you can not beat vortex! Especially when it comes to the warranty! You have a life long customer in me from binos to spotters to rifle scopes and range finders! I will not but anything else!

[0.25 lb] This scope is excellent quality. Fantastic zoom, ease of use and wide field of view. Having used Swarovski in the past for shorebird studies, I’d highly recommend the razor!

[Neoprene] I upgraded from a Vortex Diamondback to the Razor. The difference is noticeable at the long end when looking at small birds across a field. It helped to pick out an American Golden Plover from a hundred Black-bellied Plovers. All the birders here know the feeling.

As a bonus, I was able to see the rings on Saturn and the clouds on Jupiter.
