The high-power output woofer delivers powerful and well-defined bass with minimal distortion, while the 1.4" precision compression driver produces accurate midrange and high frequencies.

The DHR series feature plywood enclosures like Yamaha's acclaimed DZR loudspeakers to deliver outstanding durability and acoustic performance.

  • The DHR15M feature Yamaha's proprietary FIR-X tuning utilizing linear phase FIR filters for the crossover network. FIR-X tuning simultaneously optimizes frequency and phase response while adjusting the time alignment between the HF and LF transducers. This creates a very smooth response around the crossover point, providing much better clarity and imaging than what is possible with typical crossovers.
  • All signals are precisely processed by a high-performance processor for high-definition sound quality. The DHR15M employs high-precision 24-bit discrete A/D and D/A converters with superior S/N ratio and dynamic range.

D-CONTOUR is an intelligent multiband compressor that gives you powerful and consistent sound throughout all output levels. By constantly monitoring the output of multiple frequency bands and calculating the optimum EQ adjustments, even the maximum sound output maintains outstanding clarity and musicality. D-CONTOUR provides a more detailed tuning of your sound with two different settings:

  • FOH/MAIN mode boosts low-frequency to compensate for low-end that is typically missing when speakers are used in suspended applications or mounted on a speaker stand.
  • MONITOR mode is optimized for monitor application by intelligently taming down the low frequencies, smoothing out a wide range of frequency bands to give you stunning clarity for monitoring your sound.

Both of these presets were perfected by performing countless listening tests with skilled sound engineers, giving you a multiband compressor that performs dynamically, delivering consistent sound with low distortion at any output level.

  • In a typical system comprising passive loudspeakers, power amps, and signal processors, trying to set optimal parameters for each component can be a daunting task. One of the advantages of active loudspeakers is that the combination of transducers and amps can be perfectly optimized. During the development of the DZR, DXR mkII, DHR, DBR, and DXS series, Yamaha measured and tested the durability of each transducer and the overall amp output through countless indoor and outdoor listening tests. Based on the test results, they were able to set the optimal limiter point for each model using precise DSP control.
  • In addition to the optimal limiting, Yamaha's speakers employ many of the same protection functions used in their top-class PC-D Series professional power amplifiers. A microprocessor and high-power DSP monitor the status of the power supply, power amplifiers, transducers, and ongoing signals to protect all aspects of each component. As a result, these speakers can perform to their full potential while ensuring reliable operation in even the most severe conditions.

The DHR15M's lightweight, high-performance Class-D amplifier is capable of producing up to 1000W of power, achieving an SPL of 131 dB delivered with remarkable clarity and dynamic characteristics.

The DHR15M has two input channels

  • CH1 has a combo jack, which accepts both XLR and 1/4" TRS phone, allowing for either mic- or line-level input signals
  • CH2 offers two input options; a combo jack that accepts XLR or 1/4" TRS phone, and a pair of RCA pin jacks for input from CD players or other stereo line-level sources

The onboard mixer allows you to select either CH1+2 MIX to mix the signal of CH1 and CH2, or CH1 THRU to pass the signal from CH1 only

[131 dB] I have only used these speakers once but suffice it to say I am very impressed with sound level and quality of sound!!

I play in a three piece wedding band, drums, bass and guitar.

I had a gig at an outside venue and decided to test these speakers out there.  I had been led to believe the venue was smaller and guests would number about 150.  When I got there the place was bigger than I expected and there were a bit more than 200 guests. To top it off, the dance floor was located a ways from the band.

When I fired them up and did the sound check I knew that the speakers were going to handle the event just fine.

I used a bass drum mic and an overhead for the drums.  I also put the guitar and  and a little bass guitar through the speakers.  These speakers put out some surprising  volume and quality sound. The vocals sounded very nice and clear.

Granted, these speakers are and upgrade from the $800 to $900 per speaker I was using, but nevertheless these Yamaha bring the volume and quality of sound that IS the next level. I can only Imagine how they sound with the Yamaha subs which I plan on getting soon.

I am very satisfied with my purchase. And bottom line, these speakers make my band sound better, and that is good for business.

[Venue Settings] I bought a pair of the 10" speakers to provide sound in my basement for DJ practice mixes and to make my Peloton bike experience rock. It does that very well using only a fraction of its full power. I connected everything through a Yamaha MG10xu mixer.

I have not taken the speakers outside yet, but they should power a backyard party and make the neighbors stand up and notice.

The speakers are rugged, lightweight for the sound they produce, and priced well. You can certainly get better and louder sound, but you will pay at least double.

[Class-D] I currently own a set of Mackie SRM 350 V3's, and I'm very happy with them. I'm a dj and I'm trying to downsize my system and make it more compact, but loud and not compromise the sound. So I've been using my Mackie's with my Yamaha DXS12 MKII sub, and it works great, but the spl's on the Mackie's we're insufficient for some of my larger venues. I decided to go with the DBR10's cause I've noticed the specs for the frequency response were close enough, but what caught my attention was the 129db max spl! So I bought a pair, great job on shipping time B&H, and once I hooked them up and began to crank them, I was blown away by the sound quality, but especially how loud and transparent they sounded! Very pristine and accurate sound like my RCF's, but not at RCF prices, lol! I've been djing 40 years and I've been thru many brands of speakers, these Yamaha DBR10's are now my favorite! Compact, loud, but very clear! They can be used without a sub for small venues and rock them! With my Yamaha sub, forget about it! They are a perfect match, and they all fit in my trunk! I highly recommend them!

[Black] I bought 2 of these speakers to run out smaller workshop events with and to have them be the lead loudspeakers for our 500+ festivals where we rent 4-6 other similarly sized units.

The vocals and cleanliness of music at nearly all volumes in unmatched. We love that these have a lot of manual controls (DEEP, flat, external sub + Vocal boost, normal) outside of the mixer to further tailor what we're using them for in any given set.

Yes, these have the DEEP effect which adds a substantial amount of low end if you don't want to tie in subwoofers.

Love them.
