The Elvid Acrylic Production Slate with Color Clapper Sticksfrom Elvid Acrylic Production Slate with Color Clapper Sticksis a production slate made of white acrylic designed to be used with dry erase markers. It uses standard-size color clapper sticks to provide visual and audio sync points when using a separate device to record audio (dual-system sound). A: You will need the B&H # SOXLLB2 MFR # XL-LB2 cable - this will give you both timecode in/out of your F8 and timecode out of your slate *handy for jamming other devices - cameras etc

A: Running on 6 AA batteries would power the Denecke TS-C for a period of 3 full working days.

Q: 5. Can this be synced using the Atomos Utrasycnc Blue remote timecode sync?

A: The Denecke TS-C Compact Timecode Slate (Color Clapper, EL Backlit) does not support Bluetooth. It will not work with the Atomos Utrasycnc Blue.

A: As with any colors, the varied hues and tones on the clapper sticks of the Elvid 9-Section Acrylic Production Slate with Color Clapper Sticks (B&H# ELPS911C) can certainly be used in post production to manually and visually match them with those on one's monitor. However, they are only rough approximations of scientifically calibrated colors and are not designed to be compatible with any calibration tool nor standardized scientific color calibration specification.

[Dry Erase] Bought this for a fledgling director and he was delighted and used it within the next few days.. I recommend getting the 5 pack of adhesive microfiber wipes and set of erase markers that they stick to for a great accessory and immediate use! 5

[Dry Erase] The perfect slate if you don't need to spend a thousand on a timecode slate. I buy these every year or so and will give them away at the end of long-term projects where they see tons of wear and tear. Easy to fix if the hinges get loose but the color checker will fade eventually. 5

[Color] I used this slate regularly for over 10 years. It worked great until an AC recently lost it at Citi Field. I would just recommend going to a hardware store and getting locking washers put on the back, because the stock ones do come unscrewed. 5
