A: Yes. There will be enough spigot to make a decent grip to a grip head

A: The manufacture does not list the load capacity on the Impact 3" Center Jaw Vise Grip. But it can support most lights under 12 lbs. And it is all steel but the rubber part on the clamp.

A: It sure does.

A: The bolt is 4" the overall length is longer at 8.75".

[Vise] These things work for holding a silk and frame in place with c stands. I looked high and low for something cheaper, but nadda. Used, nothing. I cannot mount a silk without proper support, so I have done my due diligence with this purchase. 5

[Flat, Round] Love this thing. I can get up lights in high and odd places plus I can attach a bounce board or other reflectors on a c-stand. I work on a lot of indie films so this is very inexpensive and versatile. 5

[Aluminum, Steel] Very robust product, very easy to use. Ideal for clamping to pipes or poles (provided they fit within jaws without hitting shaft - I'd reckon around 2 max diameter). We're using these clamps to hang ETC D40 lights from 2x4 rafters. Naturally, because the shaft from which pressure is chiefly applied, one side of the clamp doesn't grip at all when tightened, but nonetheless the clamp still has a very firm hold. Will buy again. 5
