The Leofoto P-LH40 Tripod Head Quick Release Plate 2.2"from Leofoto P-LH40 Tripod Head Quick Release Plate 2.2"is designed for users with multiple tripod heads and allows you to quickly swap out cameras on a tripod. Using the 3/8"-16 mounting screw, the P-LH40 plate has an edge to match corresponding heads and is easily installed on a ball head, fluid head, or gimbal head. It can then be mounted on the Leofoto LH-40 tripod head, or any compatible Arca-type head with a base diameter of less than 2.2".

A: Yes, there is a locking mechanism for the Leofoto QS-45 Quick-Link Tripod Head Quick Release Set (45mm). When one drops the connecting plate on the receiver base, one then turns the ring on the receiver base clockwise to lock the plate in place. To unlock, simply turn the ring counter clockwise. This is similar to the Arca-Swiss Quick-Link but they run in different sizes. The QS-45 is 45mm and much smaller than the Arca-Swiss Quick-Link size.

[1x 3/8"-16 Male] I am carrying an OM system 150-600 on a rapid style sling with a qd disconnect. I wanted to use qd so I could transition from sling to tripod (arca) quickly and this plate is perfect for that. The 'M' shaped design of the tightening handle allows me to tighten the plate enough by hand without a tool, it is a joy to have a plate stay tight without having to resort to using tools. I've hiked with it mounted for quite a few miles and feel confident in it. I was originally worried it did not have a 'stop' bump like some other plates to avoid twisting and loosening, but so far it has not been an issue. I would buy it again. The plate is comfortable in my palm when shooting hand held. My rig is around 6.5 lbs. 5

[0.23 lb] I use this together with a Platypod. My objective was to find a very light small ball head to use with a Canon R5 and L lenses. The weight and size are important because otherwise it will get left behind when traveling. I'm impressed with the holding power of the ball head. The R5 and typical lens weigh about 2.8 to 3.5 pounds. 5

[Aluminum] I bought this ball head with a Leofoto table tripod MT-04. I live the legs but the head is truly exceptional. Much better than the heads in some of my expensive tripods. I am using it with a Leica SL2 and the 24-90 heavy Leica lens. It holds very well. Highly recommended. 5

[1x 3/8"-16 Male] Overall I have been very impressed by this little ball head. It is clearly a copy of the RRS version, but don't expect to get THAT level of quality. However, for the price, the head is smooth, has great friction, looks great, and will accomplish everything you expect from it. I am using it for spotting scopes, binoculars, a Sony A7RIII, as well as for a heavy thing that makes loud noises. Would highly recommend this if you don't have the coin to get the RRS. 5

[1x 3/8"-16 Male] I bought this ballhead specifically for use on a Platypod Ultra for travel. I looked through many of the options in the “mini” category and this one checked all the boxes for me for both function and design. In my use case, panning is not critical, so I preferred this being a single action, meaning there is no separate pan lock. I don’t have a need for it in my uses for this head and not having that extra locking knob does make it more compact to carry in a small travel sling bag. I have never had an issue with other Leofoto products and this is no exception. The feeling of quality for the price is very good and the performance has been great so far. I can easily put a Sony A7R5 with a 24-70 2.8 on it with zero creep which makes framing a composition very quick and I have no worries about stability. 5

[Aluminum] This is a good quality ball head. It able to load 15kg or 33 lbs which suggested from the manufacturer website. I tested on my Canon 24-70 f/2.8L and Canon 70-200 f/2.8L w/o any issue. I like to use this ball head on my Platypod Ultra Plate, when I don't want to carry too much for scouting. 5
