The Cavision Souvenir Slate with B&W Clapper Sticksfrom Cavision Souvenir Slate with B&W Clapper Sticksfeatures black-and-white clapper sticks that provide visual and audio sync points for production use. It's suitable for use on set or as a presentation item to the filmmaker when the film is done shooting. The reinforced slate has a preprinted acrylic face for use with dry-erase markers, a resonance chamber on the back that amplifies the bang of the clapper sticks shutting, and single-bolt hinge design. The slate's latch system holds the sticks closed, so they don't pop open when you are carrying the slate in between shots. An integrated slot on the back of the slate provides a convenient way of holding the slate during operation.

[1.34 lb] It's a padded cover for your slate, works just fine, keeps the gunk off the board and help from scratches, not going to keep it from breaking as it's just a soft case. 5

[1.34 lb] My clients have never commented on the expensive camera's and lenses I bring to a shoot. But when I bring out the Slate, their eyes light up and suddenly it feels like Hollywood. Get a slate. Even if you don't actually need it. Your clients will be impressed. 5

[Black & White] I used this slate regularly for over 10 years. It worked great until an AC recently lost it at Citi Field. I would just recommend going to a hardware store and getting locking washers put on the back, because the stock ones do come unscrewed. 5

[Dry Erase] Durably built product. Great Price. You are able to securely hold it via slots in the back. The clapper arm snaps into place after use. The fulcrum joint is firmly built ensuring no front to back movement. The labeled slate sections are printed on the backside of the writing surface so as not to rub off or fade. I specifically bought the Cavision Next-Gen Production Slate with Color Clapper Sticks (European Style, Color) for the scene, shot, and take sections. The black and white Cavision has the same sections. I could not find another slate that has those. Since I am my own judge, jury, and executioner, the shot section just seems to help me out with my shot list organizing. Highly recommend. 5

[1.34 lb] The perfect slate if you don't need to spend a thousand on a timecode slate. I buy these every year or so and will give them away at the end of long-term projects where they see tons of wear and tear. Easy to fix if the hinges get loose but the color checker will fade eventually. 5

[Black & White] This one is a must have for your clapper sticks. i have The Cavision Next-Gen clapper and it fits perfectly on this case. I love The smooth finish, but it could be better if they added handles a handle. 5
