A: Leofoto YB-100MK Leveling Base with Arca-Type Clamp for 100mm Half Bowl (Standard Handle) does not include the camera plate unfortunately. That needs to be purchased separately.

A: no the 503 head is a 75mm ball head and this will require a 100mm ball head.

Q: 8. Can a hook be screwed to the bottom of this or should I just consider a leg bag?

A: There is no threaded hole or stud on the bottom. The grip is smooth rubbery plastic so I don't think you can hang anything securely.

A: shouldn't be a problem. I have a 501 and a 503 and it works on those. Pretty much any flat base fluid head with a 3/8 16 female should work fine.

Q: 10. Can this leveling base be used on a Gitzo Series 3 Systematic tri-pod or would I require some type of adapter?

A: I doubt it would work and I've never seen an attachment that would allow the use of the ball leveler with that type of tripod. You would need a 100mm bowl tripod.

[Black] Even though I'm using a Manfroto 501 head (flat base) on a set of Cartoni legs, the adaptor works like a charm. No more fussing with the length of the individual legs to affect the level - one qucik twist-level-countertwist operation and I'm ready to shoot. The time savings really add up. ...and you look more professional. Since it screws on to the base of the head, you can change the product out to different heads and legs or remove it completely in a snap should you need a flat base. 5

[Black] This is a fantastic accessory for the LM-404CL tripod. Sometimes you just need a small height adjustment and fiddling with the legs can be a real hassle. This center column gives you all the flexibility you need to adjust height without compromising stability. It's solidly built and operates very smoothly. Handles an 80mm spotting scope or Nikon 200-500mm zoom lens quite well and is stable even without tightening the clamp. 5

[Black] Purchasing a Nodal Ninja Ultimate Pano head and rotator, having a 100mm bowl, I was facing having to shell out $300 for a like unit to allow me to level the head on my Gitzo without messing with the sticks. I have it all now for a fraction of the price and it works perfectly. Very heavy duty machined part. 5

[Aluminum] I used this to connect a 501 head to 515 legs. I like that when using this you do not have to level the pod by adjusting the legs. You can just swivel this into place. 5

[Aluminum] If you're on a budget and want to buy good tripod legs but can't quite afford an expensive pro fluid head yet (almost all are half-bowl mount), this adapter will let you mount a less expensive flat-base head like the 501/503 series on good sticks till you're ready to move up. Getting the camera or camcorder and head level with a bowl-mount tripod is so much easier than adjusting leg lengths, once you get one, you'll wonder why you wasted time with a flat mount model. 5
