Power your gear that takes a Sony BP-U-type battery plus accessories for longer runtimes with this IndiPRO V-Mount to BP-U Battery Adapter Platefrom IndiPRO Tools. The adapter features a BP-U adapter plate that mounts onto your camera and an adjustable arm that connects it to a V-mount battery plate. The arm adjusts based on how deep your battery well is on your camera or if you need to fit additional accessories around the plate.

On the sides of the V-mount plate, there are multiple outputs to power additional accessories, including two 5V USB-A outputs, two 8 VDC barrel outputs, two 12 VDC barrel outputs, and one 14.8V D-Tap output. The D-Tap output is a two-way plug, so you can plug your cable in either direction. The plate is fully decoded, so you can see all battery status on your camera's display.

[V-Mount] With every device having a different battery, the Watson system provides a great solution for having one battery charger and different plates to accommodate the batteries. The plates are a perfect fit for the batteries and allow me to charge two different kinds of batteries at the same time. I really like this system. 5

[1] For whatever reason Blackmagic designed their camera and plate to trigger a power reset when switching between rec/playback. This has caused some major problems for me on set when trying to power accessories through the d-tap port, I would switch between the two at the directors request and suddenly my follow focus and transmitter were off and I didn't understand why. Fortunately IndiPRO's plate solves this! Due to it's design the d-tap gets power directly from the battery, so no power shut offs. Now I can power all my accessories through a d-tap splitter and not worry about a thing. I can definitely recommend this to any Ursa Mini/Pro owners out there who are experiencing the same issues I was! 5

[80 W] We often have a mobile camera on our productions and having to mount our gold mount batteries with zip ties wasn't the ideal scenario, especially if we had to change mid-show. This mounted to our rig easily and makes it easy to swap out and doesn't offset the balance. The flexibility of mounting options also helps us both access other screws on the rig if needed and doesn't lock us into a specific orientation. Add a power adapter or two for your devices (which we did), and this little piece of engineering becomes one of your new best friends. Sometimes simple really is best. 5
