Q: 7. I bought this for my Canon 5D Mark lll. I can only get it to trigger when it is wired. Wireless will not work no matter what channels I change to, what batteries I switch to. Sometimes the green light will light up on the receiver as if it is receiving the signal but then the shutter never fires (whether I do the 1/2 depression or not). Anyone have any suggestions?

A: It's only wireless between the transmitter and the receiver. You must connect the receiver to the camera using the supplied cord. This is not a dedicated remote. There are no electrical contacts on the base of the receiver. This is a universal remote trigger. It will work with other brand cameras just by purchasing the proper cord. This works with my Canon, Olympus, and Panasonic cameras, but I have a cord for each.

A: On the front of your camera, below the lens release button, there is a rubber cover over the 3 pin connection port. You just have to plug the 3 pin cord into there and the other end into the transmitter piece that gets mounted in the hot shoe.

[2-Year ] A sudden gust of wind blew over my tripod and sent my last camera, only 1 year old, crashing to the ground rendering it inoperable. Unfortunately it is too costly to fix nor do I have any insurance on it. It's not only the cost of the camera that I lost but also the investment in time getting to know my camera. In my opinion, it's well worth it to protect my investment. 5

[ADP] New lenses are expensive, and I don't want to shell out for an unexpected repair after the warranty expires, or worse yet, have to replace it because of an accidental drop or damage. That peace of mind is what makes this type of warranty worth it. I know that for three years I'm good. Expensive, but worth it. 5
