However, you would need to make sure that your brand of batteries are compatible. If you are using IDX batteries you will need an IDX charger.

Q: 3. Can you draw DC from the battery plate, and safely charge batteries simultaneously?

A: No, the D-tap port is the DC port in which power is being drawn into. The only way would be to connect the D-tap charger directly to the battery and use the other battery to power a compatible device.

[8.485 lb] One of the best simultaneous chargers. very usefull if you have a long term job and need your bateries to be 100% on time. You can use it for shorts jobs also but its the best you can find out there for fast charging. 5

[4] I had to buy this one because the 3rd party charger wouldn't charge my IDX batteries. This one seems to work on all of them. I've only had it for a little bit but I like it so far. Solid construction. 5

[Simultaneous] This charger actually charges fairly fast for my IDX 91Wh V-mount Battery. Now I'm sure the IDX charger that has 60W power supply charges faster, but probably not really that much since I've put my 91Wh V-mount battery on those before and it was only about 45 minutes to an hour faster. On average it took 4 hours to charge my battery on my charger and that actually doesn't bother me at all! Great product! Love how it stands too because it eats less space on my desk! 5

[8.485 lb] I was so tired of waiting forever for my batteries to charge. Moving up to this charger wasn't easy on my wallet, but it has made my life significantly less stressful. I can now have 4 batteries charged in the time it used to take to charge just 1! I am VERY pleased that I made this purchase and I wish I would have made it sooner. 5

[8.485 lb] So I also bought a swistronix or now core swx that came with a wall plug, after abou 5 years it has now stopped worked so I needed an upgrade. I was shocked at the prices of v mount chargers and getting something in the $3-600 range is out of my budget. This charger will not storage charge or trickle charge your batteries so do not leave tour batteries on this thing I definitely as it will kill your batteries. Since you are paying the little bucks here you will need to maintain discharge and charge your batteries manually. No big deal for me as I only have a couple v mounts. Hope this helps someone pick up this great deal. 5
