The Kopul Two-Channel XLR Adapter for Dante Networkenables you to incorporate analog audio gear you already own into your Dante network. With plug-and-play operation, the DAN-AOXM2 is automatically discovered by the network and ready to use once connected, making it easy to send highly detailed and clock-accurate audio to an analog mixing board, power amplifier, or powered speakers over Dante.

The DAN-AOXM2 connects to the network via its RJ45 Ethernet port and outputs two balanced line-level analog audio signals via its two, 3-pin XLR-M connectors. It delivers two channels of high-quality audio with up to 24-bit / 96 kHz D/A conversion, high SNR, low THD, and a wide frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz.

The DAN-AOXM2 is PoE powered. It supports Dante Audio over IP and AES67 RTP transport formats and is compatible with Dante Domain Manager (DDM).

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What happens to the signal on left and right inputs, if I plug in stereo microphones? Are they automatically converted to mono is just one channel used from each microphone? I only have stereo microphones.

A: You would only be able to plug in one stereo mic to this unit, utilizing the center input marked stereo. If you have two mono microphones that terminate with a 3.5mm stereo mini connector, you would connect one into the left and another into the right input.

Q: 2. Does it work also with the SmallRig Forevala W60 2-Person Compact Wireless Microphone System (2.4 GHz) ?

A: Yes you can use the TRS to TRS Cable included with the SmallRig Forevala W60 system to connect it to the stereo mic input on the Beachtek DXA-GO.

Q: 3. Does it work with Rode Go wireless 2 ?

A: Yes it will work with the Rode Wireless GO II system

Q: 4. Would this allow for two mono inputs such as two original Rode Wireless go mics, plus a stereo shut in mic at the same time?

A: The Beachtek DXA-GO Two-Channel Adapter/Bracket for GO Wireless Receiver and Camera will accept two mono inputs simultaneously or a single stereo input, but will not accept all three inputs at once.

Q: 5. Is it HDMI 2.1 or 2.0b?

A: This receiver offers HDMI 2.0. The Denon AVR- X1600H and AVR- X2600H, meanwhile, are full-sized, 7.2-channel AVRs with 80 and 95wpc output, respectively. Both also support Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization, and boast key features of the impending HDMI 2.1 spec (including eARC and ALLM).

Q: 6. Can this receiver output both analog and digital sources to Zone2 Pre out for playing on external powered speakers? This question is not about subwoofers. Other receivers can output to their analog Pre Outs only analog sources connected to receiver. No HDMI or optical audio can be played.

A: The PRE Out on this A/V receiver would give you he same source as what is selected for the surround output. This unit does not have a second zone.

Q: 7. Will it send plugin power through? This would enable the use of Rode Videomic.

A: It will not send plugin power to a microphone that operates off of plugin power.

Q: 8. Do these adapters fit properly in Neutrik XLR jacks (used in Sound Device MixPre-6 II field recorders) or do they get stuck?

A: Yes, the Kopul XLR Twist-360 Angled XLR Adapter is compatible with Neutrik XLR jacks.

Q: 9. It says output can be set to dual mono. Does this mean I can have 2 mic input, and output it as individual Left and Right channels on the output stereo?

A: You have the option to ether come out to your camera in stereo or mono. To get each mic on its on track, set the output to "Dual Stereo." "Dual Mono" out mixes the two mic's together.

Q: 10. Does this provide phantom power to mics that require it?

A: 'No' ... it is strictly a passive unit!

[5.6 oz / 159 g] We recently used this in our large church building to send audio from our Dante-enabled mixer in our main auditorium to the nursery. They are about 300' apart, so pulling audio cable would have been difficult and time-consuming, but since we had network throughout the building already, this device made it simple. Plus, since it's digital audio, there's no chance for extraneous noise to be added over long cable runs.
We also utilize video-over-ip, so our switches are already set up for POE and multicast with IGMP snooping, and this device works flawlessly with that configuration. Dante controller makes it easy to route audio and multicast streams, so we're able to distribute to multiple overflow locations easily and without hogging a lot of bandwidth.
We plan to use these devices often in our upcoming building expansion, and it will save lots of time and money not having to pull audio cable and buy distribution amps.

[-6 dBu] Used this for a balanced headphone amp off of the Dante network. Works great! Allows for two separate channels as stated. No issues.

[24-Bit] The AVIO works just like you would imagine. Plug into the network, assign what you want in Dante Controller, and presto.
Really terrific tool to have whether you need to add a last minute speaker or just working on a quick project and only need two outputs.
10/10 would recommend to everyone.

[>100 dB] This thing works perfect. Hook it up to your network with POE, and it shows up in Dante Controller just like its supposed to, then works without another thought! Indicator lights by the RJ-45 are handy to be sure everything is working. Were using this with a POE injector, and there are no problems. Welcome to the future!

[802.3af PoE] I am using a these (along with Dante Via) to convert a relatively inexpensive set of active speakers into Dante enabled speakers.

Only con so far is that the AVIO adapter is larger than I expected, but definitely not a deal breaker.

Pros include near infinite (not really, some limit) speaker runs using Ethernet cable (also must have POE); no ground loop him (digital signal); and the AVIO device can serve as a Dante clock device.

[24-Bit] I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to configure this with my New M1 MacBook Air. Audiante said they would have support towards the end of 2021, not sure why the long delay as complicated apps like Adobe already have started their transition.

This adaptor is great for transmitting audio with zero perceptible latency over the network. You'll need a POE+ switch or power source, and your laptop must also be connected via ethernet since Dante doesn't work over WiFi.
