Q: 1. will it support 50+ ' cable length?

A: This will not support cables that are longer than 50 feet. However HDMI cables in general start to lose quality once you go past 35 feet. For runs of 50 feet and longer we suggest HDMI extenders from companies like KanexPro and Avenview. They will send a signal as far as 300 feet over a Cat6 cable.

A: The Kanex Pro 1x2 HDMI Splitter does not create a new source but rather splits one HDMI input into two HDMI outputs.

Q: 4. Will this work with only 3 outputs connected?

A: Yes. Or 2. Or 1. Or all 4.

Q: 5. can i use this to connect multiple displays to my laptop? If so, will I be able to view separate applications on each monitor; not mirrored?

A: This only mirrors the display, you do not have the ability to configure screens separately.

Q: 6. Does this support 10 bit HDMI aka HDMI Deep Color?

A: Yes, this splitter has HDMI 1.4, which supports 10-bit.

Q: 7. Will this unit support 2k at 24fps? or 4k at 24fps?

A: This unit is capable of support 4K at up to 30fps. However it does not list support for 2K footage.

Q: 8. Will this splitter provide cable power when used as source for 75' hdmi active (fiber/copper) cable?

A: The Kopul HDMI 2.0 1 x 4 Splitter does use power to output it's video signals, but there is no "extra power" supplied specifically for long cable runs.

Q: 9. What is the HDMI port speed?

A: The port speed is a HDCP 2.2 which can handle speeds up to 18gbps.

Q: 10. If I have a 4k output device and use the splitter with a 4k tv and a 1080p tv, will each tv get their respective resolution signal? I've seen some other splitters that scale 4k signal to 1080p to both devices because of the lower resolution on one tv.

A: No it can not. It does not have the ability to scale the output to match the display. It will output the lowest common denominator to all displays. For example, in your scenario all displays will receive 1080p. Consider the Kopul HDMI 2.0 1 x 4 Splitter BH #KOHDMISP1420 • MFR #HDMISP14H20 if you need to mix different display resolutions.

[HDMI] I purchased this splitter to facilitate sending the HDMI signal from a BluRay player to either/or a TV or a projector after passing through a receiver. Previously to watch a BluRay on the projector we had to redirect the output of the player to the projector via the players component outputs. Now, using the splitter, we no longer need to do that, and the video is better! 5

[48 Gb/s] It's nice when a product simply works. We are using this splitter to provide video to a projector, 2 stage monitors and a monitor for the speaker/presenter. We use different source inputs, sometimes running through a converter before sending HDMI to the splitter. In all these configurations, the splitter works perfectly and as documented. Very happy with it. It seems to be well made. 5
