A: The inbuilt light comes directly from above, and is quitr diffuse. I'd suggest have reflectors and/or additional lights for catching thenlight at specific angles. This lightbox is a good start, but none of them will bring you all the way , in my opinion.

Q: 4. As far as the LED lighting, how many LED lights are in the box?

A: about 160 small LEDs in a square configuration around the hole you can see in the top side. Very happy with this item, better results than I expected. Light is quite even unless the object is within 10 of the top of the box where it understandably gets a little too bright. For 18 tall items and under it is great.

A: If Sachtler offered an adapter for the Sideload Plate S/Ace Tripod QR Plate, I would say go with that. Since they do not, then you could get two of the Sachtler Sandwich Touch and Go Adapter with Touch & Go Plate 16 and you should be all set.

A: The lights are inside the box. You could use a small bit of diffusion inside the box if you wanted taped over the lights. You could cut up a piece of Rosco Cinegel #3027 Filter - 1/2 Tough White Diffusion - 20x24" Sheet B&H # RO3027S with a pair of scissors for that purpose.
