A: The Spectra series of LED fixtures does offer a stand-alone mode that can be used without DMX. In the case of the 3K white fixture as noted in the subject this would only refer to intensity. For color-changing versions of the fixture color can be set as well as intensity.

A: The safety wire can be looped trough the gap between the light and the mounting plate.
