To record to an external USB SSD and/or to record with high frame rates with your Panasonic mirrorless camera models such as the Lumix DC-GH7, you'll need this Panasonic USB-C AC Power Adapter for Camerasfrom Panasonic. This AC power adapter can power your camera from mains power. It is required to power the camera when you need to record high-resolution video externally using an optional USB SSD to ensure enough power is provided to maintain high-resolution file recording and high frame rates over 61 fps. The AC cable adapter is also required by the separately available DMW-DCC18 coupler, which can be used when the camera's USB-C port is occupied.

This adapter is compatible with Panasonic models DC-GH7, DC-S1H, DC-S1R, DC-S1, DC-S5, DC-S5 II, DC-S5 IIX, DC-S9, DC-GH5 II, DC-G9 II, DC-GH6, and DC-G100D.

According to Panasonic, the Panasonic AC adapter (VSK0815F, indicated as item #4 on page 9 of the Panasonic Lumix DC-G9 Mirrorless Camera's Basic Owner's Manual under Standard Accessories) which is included with the Panasonic DC-G9 purchase is the correct AC adapter designed for use to continuously power the DC-G9 Digital Camera. It is designed for use with the USB cable included with the camera, and it both powers the camera and charges the battery when connected to the USB port on the camera. Panasonic does not list the DMW-AC10 AC Adapter as compatible for use with the Panasonic Lumix DC-G9 Mirrorless Digital Camera.

[0.76 lb] B&H is my go to source for many products - I hav purchased camera, lenses, various electronics, and other merchandise from them for over a decade. Always knowledgeable and experienced staff and the service is beyond reproach. This particular item was a replacement power adapter for an external hard drive I purchased from B&H maybe 3 - 4 years ago. Somehow I lost the power source. B&H had a replacement in stock. [0.76 lb] I just purchased a GH5 and per Panasonics recommendation, I only use OEM batteries and accessories. Yes this is more expensive but using cheap knockoffs can and will void your warranty and for such an expensive camera, why risk it? The oem dummy battery has been on back order longer than promised so I have not yet actually used this product. From the looks of it, the build quality is amazing. Fit and finish are exactly as you would expect buying from the original manufacturer. I have complete confidence this will work perfectly when my battery comes to me. 5

[0.76 lb] I got a DMW-DCC17 dummy battery and use this to power my Panasonic GH6. It works perfectly, exactly as expected and advertised. Of special note is that the cord (between the adapter and the camera) is of sufficient length to give some flexibility in how and where I mount the camera vs where and how I mount the adapter during filming. Since the power cord portion itself is both standard and separate from the adapter, I was able to purchase a second cord (from a third party) to have the power cord permanently installed in two locations, moving my camera between the two. This resulted in the most flexible and reasonably affordable solution that fit my needs accordingly. 5

[0.76 lb] This works as advertised. I have more peace of mind purchasing the official Panasonic version, which has an apparent good build quality. There are many generic, cheaper versions but some have reported effects to the camera. 5
