[0.12 lb] I needed this to use the Panasonic DMW-AC10 AC Adapter with my  LUMIX GH4 and GH5 Digital Cameras.  It simply replaces the camera battery and plugs into the A/C Adapter.  

Ordered it on Friday, it arrived on Tuesday with free shipping.

[0.12 lb] I have been able to record literally hours of video files without interruption using appropriate card with GH4 camera and this unit, no issues encountered.

So long as there is power available, there seems no realistic limit as to what can be recorded. I do not use this outdoors in inclement weather, because of potential for water to enter the camera or battery grip.

[0.12 lb] This works as advertised. I have more peace of mind purchasing the official Panasonic version. The only downside is not putting the cable on the other side so that it's closer to the side of the camera. This would help with tripod mounting.

[0.12 lb] I use my Panasonic GH6 in a streaming environment. However, it pulls double duty as my face camera during video calls and meetings. As such, having reliable access to power is crucial.


While I realize this might be a personal preference, I vastly prefer using a powered solution such as this over having multiple batteries to swap in and out. I never have to worry about (or check) the current battery charge. Since I exclusively use the camera in a controlled (studio) environment, I saw no need to go the battery route.


This way, I know that the camera is always fully powered and ready to go, adapting to changing needs as necessary.

Since I was so happy with this solution, I purchased a similar dummy battery product for another studio item I own.

[0.12 lb] Paired with the DMW-AC10 AC ADAPTER f/LUMIX-F, I purchased two of these for my two GH5 video cameras for one specific project. The project was video-recording two 2-hour long dance recitals. Both cameras were on for each entire 2-hour dance program. The DC Coupler f/GH3 paired with the DMW-AC10 AC ADAPTER f/LUMIX-F1 make these long and continuous video-recording projects doable.

[0.12 lb] Every so often I need the G9 on a tripod for extended periods when recording conferences, and this works just perfect for that.

[0.12 lb] This is a great accessory. Works as expected without issues. Fits exactly as a normal battery would and works with the compartment door closed. There is a small rubber notch that opens on the front of the camera to allow the cable to pop through. Might be an issue if mounting in a cage. You would need to check first to see if it covers he access hole. My only complaint is that you need to also purchase the AC adapter that is not included. Should be sold together. Regardless, I highly recommend this unit.

[0.12 lb] This is a great item to have when you are doing long video shoot with your GH3.

[0.12 lb] Lumix advertises using an AC adapter with this. I think any PD source will work. I have two intended uses for this.
The first is while I am familiarizing myself with my new camera (GH7 this time around), I am constantly going through menus and screens. In the past, I had to keep replacing/recharging the internal battery while the screen was always active.
The second use will be for extended video recording out in the field where I need the battery to last longer than my SSD or CFexpress.
Remember, not any USB-C cable will work.
