A: While the bottom is shown on a Arri type dovetail plate, the bottom of the SmallRig 15mm LWS Baseplate also has 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 tripod threads so you can attach it to any tripod.

Q: 2. What else do I need to attach this to a Manfrotto tripod that uses a 501PL plate? I ordered this, but confused on how this attaches to the tripod. Do I need to get a dovetail plate?

Currently 8Sinn bridgeplate, but it doesn’t engage safety catches front & rear of 12” Arri dovetail plate as 8Sinn plate dovetails too thin and shallow; not safe. Working with Wooden Universal Matte Box, Xeen Primes, Vmount attached to rear of cage via Nitze mount, Ninja V + Zacuto Kameleon, (all from B&H thank you!)... so a fair load on good ole O’Connor 50 head. Difficult to find a good sled...any recommendations? Looked at Arri’s & everything you’ve got but Zcam is too tiny. At least it was when I started!

A: This is designed specifically for the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4k and 6K along with select SmallRig Cages. We do not recommend it for use with the ZCam F6.

A: No, this cannot be used to power a Nikon Z6II camera or any camera powered through a USB-C input. It is designed to convert the USB-C power to stable 12v to power the BMPCC. In the reverse we cannot guarantee the correct output voltage or that the camera will recognize it.

Q: 7. What attaches to the bottom of this? I assume the ronin s plate fits the top of this baseplate.

A: This Baseplate will accept an ARRI-Style dovetail on the bottom such as SKU: SM1463 https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1421809-REG/smallrig_1463_arri_standard_dovetail_12.html Any Manfrotto style 501pl baseplate will fit the top of the plate, so a Ronin S plate should fit it.
