The Dahle 533 Professional Guillotine Cutter 13 Inchfrom Dahle 533 Professional Guillotine Cutter 13 Inchis designed for precision and durability. It has a 13" cutting length and a capacity of 15 sheets of paper. It features a self-sharpening system for a honed blade that maintains a honed edge. The precision graduated edge will remove even the tiniest sliver of paper and produce a clean, burr-free cut. [15] I use this trimmer for cutting down photos from larger sheets and for trimming card stock. The trimmed edge is as good as the original. Well-built, precise and portable. 5

[11.38 lb] This is a very impressive cutter. Operation of the cutting head is smooth and completely safe. It cuts through 2-ply mat with ease. The moveable guide and the scales on the cutter base (accurate down to 1mm) allow for very precise, repeatable cuts. The build quality is robust and I certainly expect it to give may years of service. 5

[Steel] I'm very pleased with my Dahle guillotine. It feels well constructed. Chops through three sheets of 110 lb cardstock with ease. And, the best thing is that the blade is actually at a near perfect right angle to the guide. Cheaper guillotines are sometimes off by a degree or so. 5

[11.38 lb] I've been looking for a good paper trimmer for my 13x19 printer paper. I saw this on sale and I dove right in. I wasn't disappointed when I received the item. It is very well made and it cut the photo paper I'm using easily and with a very clean edge. Seems like it will perform well and for a long time into the future. 5

[11.38 lb] Over forty years ago I bought a Dahle paper cutter. Over the years the grid pattern has worn off in places, and the paint has started to flake off. I expect this new model to last as long as the first one. This will be a lifetime investment in trimming media. The trimmer does an excellent job of cutting exactly where I have positioned the media. Such a good job leaving crisp edges. 5

[15] The trimmer now works great. There was a problem with the cutting head being pushed too far over and stuck. I was thinking that I would have to return it for a replacement. Instead I emailed Dahle in the evening and got a reply the next morning with an instruction sheet on how to fix the cutter. Called Dahle that morning since the blade made a clicking noise. The service technician diagnosed over the phone and sent me a new head. The cutter is great, and the service from Dahle is outstanding. In fact, the first call I made was answered by a service technician. I've seen complaints about poor service for another brand of cutters. All can say is that my experience with Dahle was great. By the way, I have two other 35 year old paper cutters from Dahle, one a guillotine cutter and the other a small roller trimmer. Both still work after lots of use. 5
