Q: 3. The specs list this monitor as LCD.. But I believe it is actually LCD. Can someone else confirm this?

A: This is a IPS panel.

Q: 4. How does this monitor compare to the 27GL850-B? Spec wise it seems similar but this model is $100 cheaper. From initial review it appears this one does have additional features.

A: The 27GL850 includes USB ports on the monitor that the 27GN800 does not. Additionally, the 850 is slightly slimmer. The 27GB800 is slightly newer that it was introduced in 2020 whereas the 27GL850 was 2019.

Q: 5. Would this be a good monitor to do color grading in Davinci Resolve?

A: At 95% DCI-P3 color gamut, this AOC AGON Pro PD27S 27" 1440p HDR 170 Hz Gaming Monitor can work pretty well for color grading video work. I would recommend considering a calibrator to ensure the brightness and color stays true over time.

Q: 9. This monitor is good for photo editing?

A: Yes, this LG UltraGear 27" HDR10 240 Hz Gaming Monitor is good for photo editing. One step better would be a monitor with the Adobe RGB color gamut.

Q: 10. What generation HDMI is this monitor? 2.1?

A: Yes, it uses a 2.1 version.

[VA LCD] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upgrading to the 45GS95QE-B from a 34-inch AW34DWF has been a game-changer, literally and figuratively. Despite some concerns over the 1440p resolution at a 45" size—which typically results in a lower pixel density—the larger scale proves to be more of an asset than a hindrance.

One might expect the lower PPI to cause text and edges to appear less sharp, but in practice, it’s far from being a deal-breaker. In fact, as someone who appreciates larger text, I find that the slightly bigger letters are easier on the eyes, a welcome feature as I get older.

But where this monitor truly shines is in its gaming performance. The leap to a 240Hz refresh rate combined with OLED technology offers an unparalleled gaming experience. The improved refresh rate ensures buttery smooth motion clarity, while the OLED provides deep blacks and vibrant colors, enhancing every scene. Moreover, the curvature of the display is expertly designed to encompass your entire field of view, creating an immersive gaming environment that you have to see to believe.

In conclusion, the 45GS95QE-B stands as a colossal success in the realm of gaming monitors. It might be large, but it’s precisely this grandeur that makes it exceptional. If you’re in the market for a monitor that transforms your gaming setup into a portal to other worlds, this might just be the one for you.

[1 ms (GtG)] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great product Overall, quality image is pretty good. There is one general issue with the DP 1.4 and Nvidia, when plugged in with the Display port some random flickering appears, the solution is to change the Depth color in the nvidia software to 10 bpc, there is no issue using the HDMI.

[Tilt] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While I am by no means a tech guy, I can only go by what looks good to me and this monitor showed me definition andd colors that I had never seen before in a monitor. I use it in my home recording studio and I also use it to do work in photoshop. But what really blew me away was looking at some of the pictures that Webb Telescope had taken. They were breath taking and come to life with this monitor. I can't quote specs and such, but I do know beauty when I see it and thanks to LG, it's now a part of my life. Thank you.

[180 Hz] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This monitor is gorgeous!! Games look crisp and colorful. It also looks nice in my setup. It does come with a display port cable and a mounting bracket if you want to mount it. There is tons of options as well to set modes if you want different displays setting per game. you can even add 4 different crosshairs to help with your aiming on FPS games. [16:9] Best format, very hyped for this. We all know PPI isn't a problem as we all use DLDSR, means this monitor will run no problem at 5120x2160.
If you don't know what DLDSR is, you don't deserve it.

[16:9] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this monitor for my boyfriend who games and works from home. He typically uses 3 different monitors, but now this 45" monitor replaces the need to have 3 different ones. He said that the set up was super easy and that it looks great while he plays games. The colors are more accurate and deeper/fuller on the LG compared to some of the other monitors he's tried out. And the curve of the monitor makes it more immersive. For the price point, it is expensive but he said worth the price.

A nice detail that I didn't know initially when I first bought it, were the lights at the back of the monitor. Makes the room ambience nice in the dark.
