Provide stable support to your small camcorder, DSLR, or mirrorless camera with the Libec TH-X Tripod System. Mounted atop a two-stage (3-segment) tripod with a 65mm bowl, the TH-X head provides a sliding balance platform for optimal pan/tilt performance for loads up to 9 pounds. The drag and counterbalance are fixed, and both the pan and tilt can be locked. Rosettes on either side of the head can hold the pan bar for right and left-handed operators.

While the 65mm ball base offers quick-leveling capabilities when used with a tripod, it has a trick up its sleeve. The bottom of the base is flattened and has a 3/8"-16 thread in the center, enabling it to be secured to flat-mount accessories such as sliders, jibs, and more without unwieldy bowl adapters.

The included tripod offers a 30-62" height range for both lower and higher-angled shots. Thumbscrew-tightened leg sections secure the tripod, and the mid-level spreader provides stability and quick operation, even on uneven terrain and flooring.

[Twist] Although I have not used it under actual battle conditions yet, I tested all of the functions and it seems to work properly with my Canon xf605. Its functionality will be helpful when shooting big meetings, conventions and other events. With the extension cable, I anticipate that I can do short intros on camera with control over a slow zoom and such. I think the least useful feature may be the focus control but this remains to be completely tested. 5

[Fixed] Perfect for my use case - needed a focus control for my Canon C100s for concerts/events. Took me a bit to figure out - but you need to have AF on in the lens but off in the body to use this. Allows for smooth, small focus adjustments with all of my autofocus lenses. Record Button works perfectly as well. Not using the zoom rocker currently so no opinion on it yet - but will be trying it out with some Canon XA20 camcorders on a shoot later this year. Planning to update then, 5

[10.65 lb] Both focus & zoom work great with my canon xa50. This is a great unit. Bonus with the Canon XA cameras is a cheeky focus pull technique. Although the manual says focus doesn’t work in autofocus mode, this I not true. The focus will override autofocus as long as you hold it down. The focus returns to subject once you let go, but it’s a nice easy way to do a focus pull. There are a lot of LANC remotes basically double the price and this is as good. I would say it has some flaws, just minor 1. The focus control clicks albeit softly. But for quiet shots it’s possibly an issue bleeding into audio. 2. Zoom in LANC has differing speeds in steps, not perfectly linear. That cannot be overcome. However, the knob would be great if you could feel where each step is. Make zoom control perfect. 3. The cable is fixed, be nice if it was a Jack. I’m nit-picking really. They are in no way deal-breakers. You will be incredibly impressed with this units, ease of use, looks and value. Note that LANC protocol is a bit old in regards to tech and only allows manufacturers the 7 distinct speeds rather then smooth gradient zoom speeds. No matter how much you spend you won’t solve that problem. I’ll just add a tip for extending the cable, get 3.5mm-2.5mm stereo Jack adapters and use a 3.5mm stereo extension cable that you probably already have. Rather then a 2.5mm LANC extension cable. 5

[29.7" / 5.4 cm] I ordered three and that should tell you how nice they are. As a certain level of the industry changes, zoom controls with camcorders are becoming extinct. My canon zoom controls were breaking down and no one repaired them. There are better replacements. 5
