Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Are these straps made with DSPTCH Gen 1 connectors? or their newer Gen 2 connectors? Asking because I have a lot of their old connectors and want something that's still compatible.

A: DSPTCH Braided Camera Strap (Red) has the most current style. They use the 5/8" Generation 2 connectors.

Q: 2. how durable is this? how much weight can this truly hold? i have a 7Dmk2 with battery grip and a 200-500mm telephoto on the front of it (and planning on replacing that lens with a 100-400L IS ii + 1.4x tc soon). do i have anything to worry about if i strap that rig to this?

A: Honestly I have this holding a 6D with a 24-70II. It holds it well and all the weight. No battery grip, but this thing is pretty strong. The only downside is that the strap after a while eats into my neck. I would suggest also getting the shoulder pad from DSPTCH.

Q: 3. Do you sell replacement quick releases?

A: Unfortunately we do not sell replacement quick releases to this particular model. The manufacturer would carry those quick releases. Here is a link to the quick releases to this strap: a href= http://bhpho.to/1x6ZQFr target= _blank http://bhpho.to/1x6ZQFr/a

Q: 4. Would this be able to handle a Blackmagic 6kPro rigged with a follow focus using a Canon 16-35 lens?

A: Yes, the Peak Design Slide Camera Strap (Sage Green) can support that load without a problem.

Q: 5. Is the slide or slideIite better for mirrorless with telephoto/super telephoto lens?

A: I use various PD straps with the heavy telephotos like the 70-200mm and 200-500mm Nikkors on my D500 and Z6. When I do, I attach the tabs to the lens and use the strap to hold the lens, not the body. This makes for a more secure carry and relieves the weight of a heavy lens on the lens mount.

Q: 6. What length of strap is the model wearing in the photo? 37" or 44"?

A: He is wearing the 44 inch.

Q: 7. For anyone who owns the DSPTCH Heavy sling: has anyone had to buy the optional shoulder pad due to the sling being uncomfortable? I see it as an option on DSPTCH's website. Thanks.

A: Hi Monica,I use the DSPTCH sling just as it is, I have not needed the optional shoulder strap.I hope this helps. Thanks, Mike

Q: 8. Is it strong enough to hold a Fujifilm X-T1 with a big 50-250mm lense on it?

A: I have used it with Sony A7 R and Canon 17-40 mm L lens with Metabones adapter which should be heavier than the Fuji xR1 plus 50-250, the weakest link could be the quick release snap on link. I am now using this with Sony A6000 plus 55-210 mm lens with no issues

Q: 9. Do the strap fit on a Fujifilm X-T1 ?? I wonder if it fits the tiny metal loop on the X-T1

A: I don't think so. Look likes the loop hole is too small. You might want to check out the DSPTCH standard strap.

Q: 10. Can this strap be used to carry a large lens like a Canon 500mm or 600mm?

A: Sure can! Each Anchor which is the attachment point for our straps is designed to hold up to 200lbs. of force.

[Nylon] Great for carrying my camera cross-body. Handles the weight of even the largest lens I own well, although the strap does ride up into my neck a teeny bit at times. The clips make detaching the strap from the camera a breeze. It is a great option for a strap upgrade!
