Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the maximum length the carry strap can be extended to?

A: approx. 150cm.I'm 5ft9 and with full extension it goes below my pelvis

Q: 2. What is the maximum diameter of a lens that can be carried in the two interior side lens pockets?

A: You would be safe inserting a lens that has up to a 75mm diameter.

Q: 3. will it hold a 300mm zoom lens?

A: Domke F-3X Shoulder Bag internal dimensions are 9 x 8.5 x 5.5". Most 300mm prime lenses are longer than 8.5''. Please messure your 300mm lens and verify with this dimensions.

Q: 4. Is the Canvas material a thicker canvas like the one pictured or is it different? I bought and received one that was a different material.

A: I can't tell from the picture

Q: 5. I have many camera bags by a lot of manufacturers but it has been years since I used Domke. I have pretty bad arthritis in my fingers and was wondering if the metal closing clasp has been reworked to make it easier to open?

A: Elliot, the same closing clasp is still on it, you have to pinch it firmly, I still thing the Domke bag overall is the best brand. Maybe you can use both hands opening it. Better yet do like me, I never close that clasp, unless I am traveling. I have this exact bag. Love it.

Q: 6. Will this bag hold dslr with 70-200 attached ?

A: Hi Randy,I purchase this bag from B & H about 2 months ago to hold my new Sony Alpha 7II with the 30-70mm lens attached, stored in the Sony camera case. That combination fits in the rear area of the bag. My Sony 24 - 270mm lens in a case, fits easily the front pocket. I put the Sony flash, in it's case, in one of the outside pockets. That leaves the two inside, left and right pockets free for smaller items and the lens shade for the larger lens. It also leaves the other outside pocket free to store my camera batteries, charger, cables and other small items, including camera and flash manuals. It is a very sturdy bag. Very! I like the fact that its shape and color don't scream high value photographic gear to steal . The shoulder strap is wide and adjustable, made of heavy, woven nylon (I assume) with very sturdy steel fasteners to attach it to the bag. Finally, there is a second, narrower, shorter strap included that is intended to be a handle. I use it on the hardware of the main cover/flap to extend the cover's closure. With that big lens inside, the cover doesn't quite meet its fastener loop on the front bottom of the bag. Finally, I was skeptical when I first received this bag that it would hold my camera, lenses, flash and smaller items, but it does. You just need to work it a bit and things eventually fit just fine. It's also worth noting that this bag has no lining or padding. None! That's why I store my camera and lenses in individual cases.

Q: 7. Where is this bag manufactured?

A: The Domke F-3X Shoulder Bag (Black) is currently made in the US.

Q: 8. Is the Canvas material a thicker canvas like the one pictured or is it different? I bought and received one that was a different material.

A: I have several Domke bags, the oldest about 15+ years. The canvas material on all of them is pretty much the same. The only products that have a thinner canvas material are the F900 and F901 pouches.

Q: 9. Will the exterior back pocket fit an iPad?

A: I do not have an iPad but do have a tablet with a case. The dimensions are: 5x8x1 . That does fit in the back outside pocket snuggly. For the front pocket, there is more room. P.S. I love the bag.

Q: 10. The specs list the interior dimensions as 8.5 x 5.5 x 9.0 but do not say which is height, width, and depth.Which dimension corresponds to the vertical height? That is, how much height would I have if I stick my camera lens-down in the case?

A: 9 inches high when measured on the out side; may 8.5 on the inside diluento padding on the bottom. The width, front to back, is 5.5. The side to side measurement is closer to 11 inches. For me, I should have purchase it years ago. I have a Olympus OM-2n, 50 and 35 primes and. 5.5 inch long zoom. MUSC in on pocket and a Panasonic DXC something in the other. Still room for flash or another body. Great purchase forr me to carry gear to a shoot and then tweak it for what I want to work with. Hangs nice and confirms to the body of not stuffed to the gills. The top flap allows for expanding the height. The buckle allows this. I really like the military grade canvas. Good luck on your decision.

[Horseshoe-Dot] I've been trying to buy a second one of these and can't find it anywhere. Other than that, this optics works as advertised, and fits my AR exactly.

[CR2032] I did not have much experience with Burris prior to ordering, but I can say I'm impressed. The glass clarity is great and there is very little edge distortion. For the money, this glass punches way above it's weight class. It's definitely better clarity than similar priced glass from other brands. I really like the reticle. I put this on my 300 blk and the subtensions worked really well with my subsonics. Once you know your holds the reticle is super easy to use with both supersonic and subsonic. This scope is made is the Phillipines and not China. It's great quality and so far tracking with the knobs has been perfect.

[3x] Good glass. I was surprised about the glass clarity. I would suggest a higher magnification to someone if they intend to put it on an AR as the reticle is some what small at that magnification. Still a good optic.

[CR2032] After purchasing the optic, installing on my Tavor, I am pleased as heck! Just the right height for the Tavor and when paired with the 3x magnifier, gives both short and medium-longish range accuracy. Very clear and sharp. Would like to have an Anti Reflection Device for it. Not sure if the available one will fit or not. Great Burris optics and a very good price point for the quality.

[CR2032] I used my Burris hard for over a year as the red dot on my patrol rifle. Never had any issues. Easy to sight in and never lost its zero. One day I couldn’t get it to turn on. Burris sent me a return label and a week later I had a brand new one in my hand. Great red dot and excellent customer service. Will definitely recommend Burris to all my friends.

[CR2032] Prism sights are always going to be a little heavier than red dots but I like that I’m not dead in the water if my battery dies. The glass is clear and crisp and it holds dead center no matter how much abuse it gets.
