Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How much weight can this hold? I'm looking to boom this from the ceiling with a Rode NTG3 attached to it and hoping that my NTG3 rig will hold fine on this. Also, hoping to mount this to the ceiling t-bar/tile instead of a typical desk. Any answers to that would be appreciated. Thanks!

A: Mounting will not be an issue in your case and the arm should be able to handle up to about 2 lbs with no problem.

Q: 2. Regarding the 48" Boom Arm. Is each section or arm 48" long or is that the total length?

A: The total length of the MBA48 boom arm is 48".

Q: 3. Does the joint at the mic maintain it's angle as you move the boom arm? Or do you have to reposition the mic each time the boom arm is moved?

A: The action of the spring inside the arm maintains a proportionate angle between the bottom and middle joints. Due to the nature of the spring-loaded arm, the joints do not naturally move independently of each other. It is however possible to keep the arm steady during adjustment without too much difficulty, and each joint can be manually adjusted if the opposite section is held in place with your other hand.

Q: 4. Sorry if this is stupid, but is it capable for a yeti?

A: Yes this will work with a blue yeti it has the same 5/8 tread to connect and it can hold the weight of the Yeti as well.

Q: 5. Will this work with the Ntg2 ROde mic?

A: This stand will work with the included clip from the NTG2.

Q: 6. Does it work with the razer seiren mini?

A: Yes, you can attach the Razer Seiren mic to the Pyle Pro boom arm.

Q: 7. Would this work if I attached the flange mount to the wall? Or are the joints going to be incompatible with that 90 degree orientation change?

A: This product is desined fr table mounting in the orientation shown.

Q: 8. What is the deepest table/desktop thickness this stand can be mounted on, i.e. 2.5 inch thick desktop, 3 inch thick desktop, etc.?

A: 2.1 inches.

Q: 9. Does this work with the razer seiren mini?

A: Yes, you can attach the Razer Seiren microphone to the Pyle Pro boom arm.

Q: 10. Will c-clamp fit 4 cm thick table?

A: The c-clamp will fit a 4cm thick table.

[3.85 lb] I’m using this stand with a Canon 5d Mark 4 with a 16mm lens and ring light. The mount is stable and doesn’t lean to one side. It is strong because this camera and ring light weighs approx 6-pounds total. This is my go-to when streaming from my DSLR.

[Table Clamp] Very sturdy, clean design. I wish it was just a tad thinner.

[Screw-Knob] Solid Boom. Much better than the spendy Blue Compass arm which spring is ridiculously too tight. This is much more suitable for standards mics (Blue Yeti/shock mount and pop filter) love the simplicity of it and looks super clean and holds my mic firm and well. Warranty is also very nice and from what I hear customer service is solid so would/will reccomened.

[Aluminum] I needed something to attach lights to my desk for macro work and video recording:
I wanted something with a minimal footprint so I wasn't tripping over stands walking around my desk... and which move up and down with my standing desk.

I bought two of these which work perfectly and are remarkably solid for as minimal as they are. I leave the main post locked to the position I need the lights in recording video, and use the side holding arm to move around lights for photography.

My only complaint is that the mounts on the arms are fixed to the ends of the arms so I when I need to position things along the arm I need to use a separate clamp (which I conveniently already have).

[3.85 lb] What a great price (comparable to Blue Yeti Brand Mic Boom) and the material construction is heavy duty. Very easy to work with and nice looking. Highly recommend.

[Screw-Knob] The low profile of this boom is reason enough to give it 5 stars. The fact that it is also a well built boom is icing on the cake. I'd give it 10 stars if I could!

[Black] I love this boom. I use it for an audio-technical 2035 mic around my desk zoom meetings and for music recording. The weight of this mic does not cause the arm to fall at all - rock steady, unlike my cheaper boom arm I am replacing. Easy to get tight, and adjust the length. Great unit in the intermediate price range. If you extend the boom length out to near its max, the extended thiner tube can drop down a bit, as very little of extended tube is within the outer tube it slides in at this extension. Stays put, but doesn't look as nice. Something to keep in mind if you need the full extension.

[Black] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The box looks nice, it's super easy to assemble and also to attach to any desk. I am excited at how seamless it is in bending and manipulating for the microphone. It's a great addition to my studio!
