A: The Nikon Z7 Mirrorless Camera will most likely fit in the MegaGear Ever Ready Genuine Leather Case for Nikon Z 5 as it is a bit smaller than the Nikon Z5 Mirrorless Camera. However, there are no guarantees that it will be a good fit. I would also double check which lens you would be using with the camera, as the Nikon NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR Lens is an APS-C lens and the Z7 is a full frame camera. This case is designed for the Z5 with the Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3 Lens.

A: The top piece is attached on the sides and the bottom of the camera. Most people will release the side snaps and flip the piece forward and down. Or the other option is you can release the bottom snap and fold backwards and down. Of course, you may wish to remove the top piece altogether if you are actively shooting and not on a walkabout.
