A: The 9 pin connector on this cable connects to the 9 pin connector on the expansion break out cable supplied with the camera.

A: Tripod threading is present under the cage for mounting onto a plate.

Q: 5. How can i mount this cage on tri pod? The two 1/4 holes isn't center of lens gravity so it may cause problem when panning or moving the head it slef. Is there any part that can merge the two holes into one?

A: It's off center a bit, but I haven't had any problems with it using a standard tripod piece screwed into one hole on the bottom. I use a fairly heavy duty Manfrotto and there's no tipping issues or anything and I'm using a nice sized EFV as well. I actually really love this cage and recommend it.

A: There is currently no cage for the Blackmagic 6k cinema L mount camera.

A: The Lanparte BMSC Basic Cage for Blackmagic Studio Camera was designed exclusively for the older first generation Blackmagic Design Studio Cameras. We would not recommend it for the Blackmagic Design Studio 6K Pro.

A: It isn't designed specifically for 1Dx. I would recommend our PK-02 rig that is also on B&H

A: The 8Sinn PL Lens Mount to Micro 4/3 Camera Mount Adapter is a well made and high quality adapter. Adapters are generally not compared to each other.

[0.615 lb] I bought this camera for a specific purpose outside its core function - not for a secondary studio camera but as a lightweight solution to a gimbal rig. I wanted a 4K cinema camera (though it is limited to UHD only) that would work well on a DJI Ronin gimbal. The rest of the Blackmagic camera line, even the pocket models, were too heavy for these prosumer level of gimbals, especially once outfitted with a cinema-weight lens. The Micro Studio Camera, fitted with a stills lens and connected to a SmallHD monitor and a T7 SSD via its USB port, is a well balanced and practical solution. A few caveats: the lens needs to have manual shutter/f-stop control as the camera can only otherwise be controlled via an ATEM console (ditto for ISO and focusing); rack focus is not practical except perhaps via a wireless focus puller added to the rig (but even then monitoring is problematic); the crop factor is severe, so something like a Metabones focal reducer would be useful. But it works well for what I wanted to have and I now have a separate, complete rig for gimbal work I don't have to build and break down constantly. 5

[1x Cold Shoe] I had the G1 and it was a great camera, but this one takes it to new heights and is really impressive in its performance, expands its use, and capabilities. A great update to this camera. Great for action shots and studio work. Now, I am tempted to rig it for other endeavors. Best budget cinema camera on the market right now. It meets all my needs and then some. 5

[Cage] Love the portability and image quality. A downside is having to connect to a monitor anytime you’d like to make any changes, but once you rig it up and get a small 5” monitor you are good. I do not regret my purchase. 5

[1x Cold Shoe] Not just a studio camera, but a great compact camera for a handheld rig. I have it rigged with the XLCS Designs cage and am very pleased with the quality of the footage I am getting, even in low light with the dual gain/iso. Flies great on a gimbal also. Only downside to the camera is the placement of the function buttons. I think I have found the perfect budget cine camera which will cover all my needs, 5
