Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can these hooks be mounted on a wall instead of a pole and does anyone know the measurements of the hooks (total length top to bottom, especially)?

A: The hooks by themselves can be mounted to a wall however, the knobs that turn (that come with the hooks, you will not be able to attach them to the hooks. Reason way, you will not have enough turning clearance from the wall to actually turn the knobs.

Q: 2. Will these work on a Savage Backdrop/background support stand?

A: They should work but be careful. You can easily over tighten these and crush hollow tube stands. These work best with heavier material like you get on steel stands.

Q: 3. Does the Elinchrom 5 accept pocket wizards or is it only triggered by the wireless sky port ?

A: The Elinchrom FIVE 2-Monolight Dual Kit BH #EL209612 has a 3.5mm sync port and can be used with Pocketwizards. However when using the 3.5mm sync port you will only get a manual sync. TTL and HSS require the use of a Skyport transmitter.

Q: 4. Do you recommend this bracket or theVello CB-510 to use with a flash and a remote? This is to be used for weddings. Thanks.

A: Personal preference really. Both will work. I like the this one's fashionable curves.

Q: 5. Hi i wanted to buy a flash bracket which i could use with wimberly gimbal head with 600 mm . Would this be compatible

A: Yes once attached via the quick release plate for the Wimberley WH-200 Gimbal

Q: 6. Are the roller handles necessary for these hooks or can I use and already existing backdrop bar?

A: You would need one of the expandable drives such as the Impact Varidrive, the Manfrotto Expan Drive, or the Kupo Background Paper Drive Set to support a background on the Impact Background Triple Hooks listed above. While the drive is designed to insert into the cardboard core of a seamless roll of paper, it may also be inserted into a hollow crossbar. If the crossbar you own is hollow and the expandable drive may be inserted inside the crossbar you own, then the aforementioned expandable drives should work for your usage needs. If the expandable drive does not fit inside your current crossbar or your crossbar is not hollow, you may purchase a crossbar such as the Impact Cross Pole for Uncored Paper or Fabric Backgrounds (106.3"), B&H # IMVPC5, the Manfrotto 047-3 Alu-Core for Uncored Paper or Cloth - 12' (3.6 m), B&H # MA0473, the Manfrotto 047-2 Alu-Core for Uncored Paper or Cloth - 9' (2.7 m), B&H # MA0472, or the Kupo Aluminum Core for a 9' Background, B&H # KUKG084312, for your usage needs.

Q: 7. Can this hold the weight of a speedlight or would it be flimsy? Also, I am using the Nissin Di700 speedlight, the shoe mount is very tight on these flashes, would it be possible for an employee to test and see if the cold shoe on this bracket would fit well with the Di700 speedlight? Thank you!

A: It certainly can hold a speed light. I am using it with an Atomos Ninja Blade and a Sennheiser shotgun microphone attached to it. However, it is not very sturdy and for controlled situations on a tripod only.

Q: 8. What size are the 4 hex screws that attach bracket to the super clamp? I need some replacements and they are not standard 1/4 ..

A: #10-32 either 1/2" long or 5/8" depending on depth in the super clamp. Home Depot has them. Get #10 washers with them.

Q: 9. how far apart do I mount these hooks for a 9' roll?

A: You measure with the length of the edge of the paper when using it with a Varidrive you put that on first and then insert the paper roll in it and mark the spot of the hook set to hang on the wall.

Q: 10. Hi, I would like to use it as external mount for my remote, so the flash still works. would this be ok to use with G16 mounted all together in a day trip tripod? Or do you have any other recommendation?

A: This bracket can be used to add more shoe mounts or you may use the Vello CB-510 bracket which would also sit between the camera and the tripod's quick release plate.

[10 x 8.1 x 2.8"] This stuff is fantastic. I don't see much of a difference in color, versus other materials of the same color but this material has had the least number of issues along with the bulk of the prints I have made with it. I tend to like polymaker in general for standard colors and base materials so, I will purchase this again when needed.

[10 x 8.1 x 2.8"] This gold is the same as any other, the color is vibrant and the silk effect works well. Polymaker tends to be my go-to for these types of base material colors because the material works well, and I have the least number of issues for the price point.
