Form-fitted for the Panasonic Lumix S5 II and S5 IIX mirrorless cameras, this cage offers multiple accessory mounting points that prevent stress on your camera's body. It includes a cold shoe mount on the top and side, multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded accessory holes, and anti-twist divots in the 3/8"-16 threaded holes. The cage provides access to all camera controls, compartments, and connectors, and a raised front piece helps prevent twisting, with a rubber pad protecting against metal-to-metal contact. At the bottom of the cage are multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded holes, along with a slot for the included Allen key that is magnetically attached.

[Cage] Smallrig has made a well designed, ergonomic & sturdy cage. It has all the features I was looking for, including a QD mounting point which I use with a Magpul MS4 sling to quickly attache and detach the cage. All camera ports and functions are fairly usable and offer a good compromise offering more attachment points and protection. 5

[Cage] I chose this over the mamba version for the extra cold shoe mount and the extended grip it gives for your little finger by the battery door. This fits the S52x well, everything lined up nicely and it feels very solid. As a hybrid shooter I can detach the handle and shoot photography easily. It actually improves the ergonomics of the camera in this way. I would highly recommend this product. 5

[1x Cold Shoe] Iâve been using SmallRig cages and their other products for many years and this cage feels like a natural evolution of their already great cage products. Not only does this have all of the usual threaded holes youâve come to expect, but the more recent additions of NATO rails built into the cage in various places has allowed me to get greater use out of my small pile of handles and other accessories that Iâve collected over the years. Beyond the general flexibility that you get with a cage like this, this one I have to say, earns some style points for me as well. Iâm the type of video producer that really likes to focus on making the most high-quality content I can and thatâs usually the extent of what I care about. However, this cage aesthetically, and with its great fit on the S5IIX, it looks sick. SmallRig is clearly aiming to set a high standard in the industry with their rigging products. 5

[Cage] I do landscape, astro, and architecture photography and always need to switch between landscape and portrait. To make it wasier, I always buy an L bracket for my cameras so I don't have to keep adjusting my tripod once level. This fits snugly and does not move around, but it does get in the way of the flippy screen a little if it's tilted. It can open fine to the side though. Not a big deal for what I use it for, but you can always quickly remove the side part with the built-in screwdriver if you need to use it. On that note, the magnet that holds the screwdriver in is very strong so I have no worries about losing it. Best design and price I could find. 5
