Mount a monitor, light, or accessory onto your camera rig at almost any angle with this 5.2" long SmallRig HawkLock H21 Quick Release Magic Arm Ball Headsfrom SmallRig. The aluminum and stainless steel arm features NATO clamps with 1/4"-20 anti-twist attachments on each end. Both ball heads and the center rosette joint are secured using a large center locking lever, and the ball mounts feature silicone gaskets for secure friction adjustments.

The arm has a safe, recommended load capacity of 12.1 lb, and if using the plate on its own, it features a 33.1 lb load capacity. Each HawkLock mount features a quick release NATO clamp, and the included HawkLock plates feature 1/4"-20 anti-twist screws for additional mounting options.

A: The clamp on the Manfrotto 143RC Quick Release Magic Arm with Super Clamp Kit is attached via a 1/4 thread. An Arca Swiss style clamp that works with a 1/4 female thread should work with it.

Q: 4. Will this REALLY hold 6.6 lbs. if it is extended all the way out horizontally 20" with the weight at the end?

A: Yes the load capacity would be based on the full extension of the arm, so it is capable of holding up to 6.6 lbs.

A: One end of the arm has a 1/4 -20 female thread and the other end has a 3/8 -16 female thread.

Q: 6. Can you remove the locking pins?

A: Yes, the SmallRig HawkLock H21 Quick Release Rosette Magic Arm locating pins can be detached and removed.

Q: 7. Is this a set of two handles?

A: The SmallRig HawkLock H21 Quick Release Rotating Side Handle Kit contains only one handle with a NATO rail included. Please purchase two kits if you require two handles for your rig.

Q: 8. What's the max payload this can hold? Want to mount a C300 MKII with Canon 24 -70mm

A: Since the Manfrotto 143N Magic Arm can hold up to 6.6 lbs, the Super Clamp holds 33 lbs and the BackLight Base can also hold up to 33 lbs, the Canon C300 Mark II and Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 II USM can definitely be held securely with this kit.

Q: 9. Would it work on the A7iii?

A: No, the SmallRig HawkLock Quick Release Cage for Sony a7R V, a7 IV, a7S III, a1 & a7R IV is not designed to be used with the Sony a7III Mirrorless Camera.

Q: 10. Is this compatible with standard Arca-style clamps?

A: The Oben RP-5 Quick Release Plate for BA-106A and BA-106T Ball Heads is not compatible with Arca-style QR clamps.

[2] I kind of bought these on a whim, especially with them being so inexpensive. Really happy I did. They work well, take very little room in the camera bag and seem to get used more often than expected. Ideal for small LED lights, monitor etc. 5

[2] Exceptional well engineered and manufactured. I use them on my RSS tripod to hold my CamRanger and Power Bank. Perfect size and can be adjusted as needed. A+ product. You can also get the SmallRig adjustable clamps to put on your tripod legs if you prefer. I also use them for LED lights and flashes. 5

[0.405 lb] This new hawk lock system has proved pretty slick on my cinema rigs. Pop stuff on and off with literal ease. Provides a secure connection. It doesn't't seem like a hassle, screwing in bolts for a secure connection, and I didn't know what I was missing until I decided to take this for a spin. I'm not one to change my kit very often but I'll be swapping my entire kit to these. 5
