Record improved audio with your Lightning-compatible mobile device using the MIC-01 Wireless Lavalier Microphone System from Hohem. The system includes one clip-on transmitter with built-in omnidirectional microphone and one dual-channel plug-in receiver with male Lightning connector. Three selectable levels of DSP noise reduction and adjustable gain mitigate negative effects from sudden outdoor noises. The system includes a USB-C charging cable, one furry windscreen, and a storage case.

Simply plug your dual-channel receiver into your compatible mobile device of choice using the built-in male Lightning connector. The connector is MFi-certified for iOS compatibility. Adjust the five levels of gain for each transmitter using the receiver's onboard controls. The receiver supports audio playback via phone speaker while plugged in, and simultaneous recording and charging of your smartphone via the USB-C port. A 3.5mm headphone port on the receiver allows you to monitor the audio signal.

An integrated omnidirectional microphone on the transmitter captures crisp audio in your next single-person vlog or livestream. Onboard controls toggle three levels of DSP noise cancellation to accommodate different environments. Utilize Reverb mode to enhance vocals in music recording applications. The transmitter can capture audio with a 48 kHz / 16-bit sampling rate. A TF-card slot allows for onboard recording.

All the components of the MIC-01 system can communicate with one another from up to 328.1' away via line-of-sight 2.4 GHz technology or 65.6' with obstruction.

When the receiver is connected to your compatible smartphone, you can use the transmitter to start/stop recording via onboard control. Simply click once to take a photo or video.

The transmitter and receiver units feature 150mAh batteries with 7.5-hour runtimes. Recharge the components via USB-C port with the included charging cable. Each component recharges in just 1.5 hours.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can one repair the iPhone end you plug into the phone if it bends?

A: The Ulanzi J12 2-Person Wireless Microphone System is not designed to be repaired by the user.

Q: 2. How much recording time will I get if I plug it into an iphone 6 that has been charged to 100%?

A: Depends on what you have on your phone, how many apps sucking the battery in the background. But best case scenario, iPhone 6Plus, newly set up with no apps, on airplane mode, about 6-8 hours.

Q: 3. Does it record stereo signal from the two microphones?

A: The Ulanzi J12 2-Person Wireless Microphone System will allow you to use both transmitters at the same time and the receiver will send the audio from both transmitters into a device through the USB-C connection. You can record the audio from both transmitters on the device that the receiver is connected to, such as an Android smartphone. The audio sent from the receiver is dual mono, which means that you will hear a combined signal with both microphones mixed together on the left and right (same audio on both sides),

Q: 4. Can I use this for Zoom calls through my iPhone? Will the headset be active so I can hear the other caller in real-time or does it only activate on playback?

A: You should be able to use this for Zoom calls on an iPhone. The headphone jack should be active to hear the other people in the call.

Q: 5. Which mic would you recommend this one the iQ6 or the iQ7 if i want to record youtube and fitness videos where I am speaking about 5 feet away from the iphone and mic? i was considering a the BOYA wireless mic but would rather not have anything on me

A: Both mics will give you a high quality recording, so you can't go wrong with either mic, but the iQ7 is more versatile. The mid-side capsules on the iQ7 rotate and can be adjusted for stereo recording at 90 or 120 degrees and you can adjust the width of the stereo field. The stereo audio is also fully mono compatible. The iQ6 offers X/Y stereo recording at 90 or 120 degrees which will capture a narrow or wider stereo field. The stereo audio recorded with the iQ6 is not mono compatible, which may not matter for your needs. Because of the flexible options for positioning the capsules and the options for adjusting the width of the field, as well as the mono compatibility, I would recommend the iQ7.

Q: 6. Can you use on of the receivers as a microphone for phone calls? Can I use as a mic for phone calls with Bluetooth headphones?

A: The Ulanzi J12 2-Person Wireless Microphone System includes two transmitters with built-in microphones and a dual-channel receiver that connects directly to the Lightning port on an iPhone or iPad. The transmitters can be used as a mic for phone calls and you can monitor using Bluetooth headphones.

Q: 7. Is this mic compatible with filmic pro?

A: This stereo mic can be attached to an iPhone and act as an external mic with the FilMic Pro app.

Q: 8. I just recorded a recital with the iQ6. The recording quality is terrific, but there is occasional electrical interference on the recording, and simultaneously on the Zoom Q4 videorecording. The camera and phone were both resting on a solid surface about 12 inches apart. Could this be because I overlooked to turn off Bluetooth and Wi-fi on my phone? Or is there another explanation? Thanks.

A: Yes, you should turn off the Wi-Fi before using to avoid noise. Because it's condensir microphone, it's super sensitive for the Wi-Fi signal. Hope this is helpful for you. jinho

Q: 9. Will this work well on my iPad Pro when I'm live-streaming or recording a video?

A: Yes!

Q: 10. If I shoot video with the iPhone without any app will this lavaliere work? Is it a plug-in and play?

A: Yes, the Polsen MO-IPL2 Lavalier Microphone Kit for iOS Devices is able to serve as audio source when recording video with the iPhone Camera app.

[20 Hz to 20 kHz] Sounds great on iPhone. Never downloaded the app for it since people say it's junk. It works nicely with the voice memos app. Make sure to put the phone in airplane mode though, otherwise you get a lot of interference.

[150 mAh ] Phone speakers are not all created equal and typically not good for recording on the run and or at home. The Zoom iQ7 takes your lightning equipped iPhone to the next level with super high quality audio recordings. I would recommend this to anyone recording audio into the iPhone for music and or voice recordings.

[Omnidirectional] I tend to be very clumsy with my equipment, this little mic. is so well made, I'm not afraid to drop it and worry if it's going to break. It's user friendly and at the right distance, provides excellent audio. Another Zoom recommendation.

[ Internal] I use this mic in two ways. 1. for better audio recording on interviews and 2. for better audio with my video. The mic is wonderful for both. I definitely recommend playing around with it before you go out to use it professionally. It's got a bit of a learning curve but packs a mighty punch.

[64 dB] I highly recommend the Zoom iQ6 to anyone in need of a high-quality microphone for their iOS devices. It's an incredible device that punches well above its weight in terms of sound quality, adjustability, and value for the price.

[Yes] Got this right before a trip and was able to use it to help document audio for a radio show. The mic sounds amazing for the price!

[7.5 Hours] I use this on an iPhone 12 Pro and it works as I would expect. Nice sound, no extraneous noise. To do it right, you will need a small tripod or GorillaPod. The mics require you to mount the phone upside down if you want the mics on top. The Zoom software is a pain - usable, but not very well executed.
