[United States] And this is painful to pay for. These just work and they are built like a tank. The battery plate for the transmitter is horrible (Teradek, fix that design please). I had an old Hollyland 600 kit and I sold it. These are fantastic.

I will say, if you can get away with using the Hollyland Mars 4k kit you will be happy. I just needed a little more range, but I was always happy when we use the Mars 4k at work.

[United States] Love the cross compatibility features as well. Really don't love the nonstandard Phillips slots on the GM plate. Soft metal and very easy to strip out.

[1-Year ] I got my hands on the DJI transmitter and receiver and tested it for a few days. Really ran it's through it's paces and tried to lose signal. It performed very well. However, if I ever wanted to expand my wireless network by renting more receivers, I'd be screwed in my area cause no one has the DJI setup.


Teradek's Bolt 6 has been a major upgrade from the previous generations of Teradeks I've used over the years and I really like their build quality. Very solid and the antenna protection is a very nice touch. As long as you aren't trying any funny business with the antenna and keep them propped vertical (unless you change to a few H antenna) it works really well.


All in all, I DID obviously go with Teradek but they should be mindful as the DJI setup is great too. But I went with the Teradek because it's proven and expandable with rentals in my area.

[1-Year ] This is a nice setup for my Movi Pro! Very light! Works as designed.

[1-Year ] This plate is amazing - I recommend to every SmallHD Cine13 (and up) owner I know. I love that it removes cables from the back of the monitor and leaves the XLR power open for block battery or AC power. I love that it passes power backwards to Teradeks or other gold mount accessories - so with a battery on one side and my Teradek on the other, I don't need a power cable for the Teradek - it receives power through the plate. Fantastic.

The only small thing is that there is a little gap between the battery plate and the monitor, so it can shift side to side a bit. I worry that this will be the cause of its failure in the future.

Other than that - perfect plate. Must have.

[United States] Overall, I'm impressed with the battery bracket. It holds my micro IDX batteries very nicely on the SmallHD Cine18. Slot 1 slides perfectly, slot 2 needs the release pin pushed to put on the battery. I'm not sure why it doesn't work as well as slot 1. Very little play in the bracket and it is well built. I use a Paramount VESA bracket on the back and the battery bracket doesn't interfere with the mini V-Mounts. However the larger IDX-198's I have couldn't mount with the Paramount VESA as it it gets in the way. It's fine, I'll just use the mini's for the monitor. Another thing to mention is the voltage of the IDX mini is displayed on the Cine18 but the minute runtime isn't. My RED can read the battery, I'm not sure why the monitor cannot. Overall, this might as well ship with the monitor. For on-location work, it's a must have.

[1-Year ] An absolute essential for anyone who has a Smallhd 4k Production Monitor. It allows for a seamless flexibility using battery power, such as V mount. Another positive is the integration for the Teradek receiver if you have the male and female battery plates. It’s a great product. Highly recommended.

[1-Year ] Overall a great product. Bought two on sale and love them. Become very useful in complex 5ghz situations.

[United States] I recommend updating firmware before using. The latest firmware is not installed on your new Bolt 6. I could not get the IOS App to recognize the units until I updated the firmware on both units. The units were paired out of box and work fine. The TX is small and light. The RX is also light but if you add the Teradek Gold or V mount battery plates the RX, it gets considerably heavier as they are made of metal. I have ordered the H antennas for this unit which will improve short range connection and stability in demanding situations. Overall, these units are a big improvement over their previous models. It would have been nice if Teradek would have included the tiny hex wrench needed to remove the antennas. Only step up from here is the 12G version at twice the price.
