[1-Year ] This plate is amazing - I recommend to every SmallHD Cine13 (and up) owner I know. I love that it removes cables from the back of the monitor and leaves the XLR power open for block battery or AC power. I love that it passes power backwards to Teradeks or other gold mount accessories - so with a battery on one side and my Teradek on the other, I don't need a power cable for the Teradek - it receives power through the plate. Fantastic.

The only small thing is that there is a little gap between the battery plate and the monitor, so it can shift side to side a bit. I worry that this will be the cause of its failure in the future.

Other than that - perfect plate. Must have.

[United States] An absolute essential for anyone who has a Smallhd 4k Production Monitor. It allows for a seamless flexibility using battery power, such as V mount. Another positive is the integration for the Teradek receiver if you have the male and female battery plates. It’s a great product. Highly recommended.

[Parts & Labor] If you are looking for a wireless video this is the golden standard. It works for most of small and medium shoot. Once you go Teradek, you will never look back.

[Additional] Picked up the Bolt 6 LT 750 Tx/Rx combo and needed an extra for the director's monitor. I can toss this on another SmallHD or even soft side it to the back of a giant 60 TV in video village for clients.

Nice to have the option for a cheaper RX to pair with the rest of a Bolt 6 system, even if it is slightly more limited in range & inputs.

[Parts & Labor] And this is painful to pay for. These just work and they are built like a tank. The battery plate for the transmitter is horrible (Teradek, fix that design please). I had an old Hollyland 600 kit and I sold it. These are fantastic.

I will say, if you can get away with using the Hollyland Mars 4k kit you will be happy. I just needed a little more range, but I was always happy when we use the Mars 4k at work.

[1-Year ] Overall, I'm impressed with the battery bracket. It holds my micro IDX batteries very nicely on the SmallHD Cine18. Slot 1 slides perfectly, slot 2 needs the release pin pushed to put on the battery. I'm not sure why it doesn't work as well as slot 1. Very little play in the bracket and it is well built. I use a Paramount VESA bracket on the back and the battery bracket doesn't interfere with the mini V-Mounts. However the larger IDX-198's I have couldn't mount with the Paramount VESA as it it gets in the way. It's fine, I'll just use the mini's for the monitor. Another thing to mention is the voltage of the IDX mini is displayed on the Cine18 but the minute runtime isn't. My RED can read the battery, I'm not sure why the monitor cannot. Overall, this might as well ship with the monitor. For on-location work, it's a must have.
