A: The Manufacturer has not specified if the 48TB Cloud Store Max can be reconfigured in RAID 5.

Q: 2. Can 2 Cloudstore Max units be plugged into each other via their 100g ports such that a user would be able to mount both via SMB?

A: It is not possible to daIsy chain two of the Blackmagic Design 48TB Cloud Store Max, B&H # BLCSM48TB, but you can connect both of them to a compatible 100GbE switch, and they would both become available to mount via SMB on the end users host computer.

Q: 3. Can you add a USB 3 external SSD drive to this?

A: No, that would not be possible.

Q: 4. Do you have the international version?

A: Only the US version of the Ubiquiti Networks LiteBeam AC Gen2 airMAX ac CPE with Dedicated Management Radio.

Q: 5. Can you share which adapter or POE injector you purchased to make this work?

A: You could use either a USB Type C power adapter like the Xuma 18W USB Type-C Wall Charger with Power Delivery BH #XUPDAC118W. If you have multiple switches as well as the cloud key, getting a switch would work best. The US-8-60W is a good option.

Q: 6. Is this device compatible with Mac OSX Mojave or higher? I have been unable to get the UNifi Controller to function on a Mac running Mojave and am wondering if this key would allow me to bypass that problem.

A: As others said, This is a web based device and you shouldn't have any issues.

Q: 7. Will CAT6 ethernet cables be sufficient for a strong, stable and fast 10g connection?

A: Yes, Cat6 cable is sufficient for creating a strong and stable 10G connection from the Blackmagic Design 48TB Cloud Store Max. However, the distance that the cable will need to cover should also be considered when picking out your Ethernet cable.

Q: 8. So will this device essentially take the place of a digital video recorder if I have a small number of cameras? Less than 5

A: This device can be used with a 2.5" drive to support a small number of cameras.

Q: 9. Setup as nvr using which app?? The unifi network app??

A: You will use the pre-installed UniFi SDN Controller and UniFi Protect software to set up the unit, including nvr.

Q: 10. 2 questions. first, trying to set up on ios and android and it wont connect. 2nd how does one set this up as a nvr?

A: The set up should be fairly easy, you need to connect it to your switch, if the light is white then its ready to be configured. Download the app and configure or using a chrome browser enter the IP address thats on the device. You can set it up as a NVR using the app.

[9 x 7.2 x 3.1"] Upgraded from Ubiquiti USG-3P that was end of life and suffering ethernet port failure from lightning power surges and/or age. The UXG-Max is much faster in line speed and general processing for IDS packet inspection. I turned all the fancy IDS features off on the USG so it is nice to get that information and features for my network. The new UXG max runs much cooler and is barely warm to the touch compared to the USG which was cooktop hot. 5

[512 GB NVMe SSD] I love this router. I did have some initial challenges adopting it and getting everything configured to work correctly behind my RG but I think that is more due to my skill level than anything wrong with the router. Speeds were slow at first but I found the expected ISP speeds setting which fixed that. One of the main reasons I purchased the Max to work with my Ubiquiti access points was that I coud have several virtual WiFi networks with their own VLAN's and different DNS addresses and it all works perfectly now. 5

[5 VDC at 5 A] Got a UXG-Max to replace an old USG-3p. The replacement was pretty easy and Ubiquiti support was very useful. You can ask all the questions before doing the replacement. The only tricky part is that you need to keep a laptop connected to your admin app so you can remove the old gateway from the network and adopt the new one. 5

[16.1 W] This router works well with other Ubiquity Unifi devices including managed switches, wireless access points and network extenders. This router is fast. The self hosted server app works well on a Windows 10 pc. What isn't clear from the product description or BHP tech support is that the 2.5 GB ports adapt to 1 GB connections and that this router can replace an older Ubiquity UniFi router by plug and play. All that is needed, is to replace the new router on the gateway connection and adopt the device. Once you adopt the new router you get a message saying you can't have 2 gateways. Then just go and forget/remove the old gateway router from the app and re-adopt the new gateway router. Give it a bit of time and all the settings will be automatically applied to the new router. I have a xfinity cable modem, UniFi gateway router, 2 UniFi 8 port managed switched, 1 UniFi WAP, 2 UniFi Beacon wireless network extenders and about 50 network devices managed with a fixed ip setup. My only complaint is that nobody at BHP or Ubiquity could give me a straight answer on upgrading the router. 5

[5 VDC at 5 A] Once I got used to the ubiquity software, it was fairly easy to set up and it's doing what it's supposed to do. Between this device and the access point I bought earlier, I was able to remove my all-in-one Asus Wi-Fi router. 5

[Polycarbonate] Great product if you have semi-advanced use cases like blocking certain traffic (e.g why should my romba be talking to the internet) or simply just enable ad blocking. Well-worth the price. 5
